  6. are solids really nessecary or can you have hydraulics working well with a large cammed 5k?
  7. if you place that behind the grille it would work. The bigger the opening the better though. I'd say if you have the tools, equipment and skills to do so, use sheet metal.

  11. Hey guys, havn't been a member on here long but have been a long time rolla fan having owned a couple of Ke70s years ago. Anyway, here is my latest purchase. 1970 ke20 with 78,000 on the clock. It's a stock 3k and toyoglide at the moment. There is one small spot of rust in the engine bay 3cm long which is being cut out and welded when it gets a fresh coat of paint in the next couple of months. Anyway I bought the car around 8 weeks ago from a guy who had bought it off the original owner only a couple of months prior. It has EVERY SINGLE service reciept, original service manual and log book and even the original purchase reciept for $2105.40 . I have a very thick folder of reciepts, it's cool to look through and see what kind of services were done for 30 odd bucks back in 1970. Apart from the small spot of rust and faded paint the car is basically overrated. EDIT: New plans driveline wise. The car is getting a full forged ca18det with cp pistons, eagle rods, o-ringed block, copper head gasket, 270deg cams, 550hp rated GT3076r, two bosch 984 pumps, holley blue pump, indy white 1600cc injectors etc etc. Will be run on e85 and a minimum of 25psi. Also going an r33 5spd with a jim berry clutch and 2step/anti-lag setup in the hope of cracking a 10sec quarter. Suspension/Brakes will be R31 front struts, r31 slotted rotors front and rear and a shortened 28spline r31 diff. Anyway, enough talk. Here are the pics. Enjoy.

  16. Money isn't really an issue, the head will be coming off for a freshen up plus a shave to get around 10:1 comp
  17. Sick of hassles with the law, would be nice to have an engine with no emissions laws, efi with a haltech would be a dream not to be able to be touched for that
  18. How possible is it to run 5k crank, rods and pistons in my 3k block? Purely as my block is 1970 pre emissions :)
  19. I'm from newcastle, have a overrated OG Ke20 with 70,000ks. Names Brad, I live in the charlestown area. Had a ke70 bout 3.5yrs ago as a daily and loved it but lost the keys for it one night on the piss so i left it at my mates house for months and his dad got it towed to the wreckers haha. Always loved ke20s so I picked myself up a overrated one to drop a cranky little k engine into. Have mostly owned vl turbos with hp ranging from 220rwhp to 430rwhp, also had an 11sec GTR
  20. Thanks captain negetivity, it's not my fault your father beat you when you were a kid... To say that I am a kid with no experience is a load of bullshit. I have built many successful cars, just none with K engines. Heres a quick example of my last effort. Go somewhere else and talk down to people
  21. GJM85 is there any reason you used a 4k crank in a 5k block?
