what did you have to do to get the ke70 rotors and calipers onto the ke20 struts?

Yeah, I know. Might have to just go a 4point with removable intrusion bars as I'll need to cage it once I race it anyway. 4 point with intrusion bars is good for andra rules as quick as 9.99

excellent, cheers for that trev I'll give it a read. Have had a 6point in one of my vls and hated it, it wasn't tight enough to the roof and my head would sometimes hit it.. Can't imagine how it would be in a crash for your skull

could possibly go a 4point cage

keep in mind the car is a street car so a roll cage is out of the question

Well I'm about to drop a 300-350rwkw ca18det into my 1970 ke20 and somehow I don't think the 40 year old chassis will like it too much. The car will be a street car but will also see regular drag strip duties. It will be run on e85, seeing boost of 25psi+ and be brutally launched off the 2 step on slicks. So where should I start with chassis strengthening??

Oh, I've also picked up a overrated rear bumper :) I've decided to leave the paint for now and concentrate on getting the thing doing wheelstands, once I do a wheelie I will paint it.

Unfortunately I'm away at sea working for another 3-4 weeks so I can't get any more pics up at this stage.. Current plans are to get home, fit up the new diff and 4spd, redo all the front steering (have all the parts), Install new short stroke shocks front and rear, lowered springs and lowering blocks (already have all this gear) and rego it so I can drive it for the summer whilst I accumulate parts for the ca build. Still undecided on auto or manual. Had a full manualised Jatco with 4200 converter and transbrake in my vls, man such an awesome gearbox.

also could you throw up a pic of your engine mounts and gearbox x-member? I'm doing a ca in ke20 at the moment

Quick update, I have purchased a full forged ca18det with cp pistons, eagle rods etc. I'll strap a gt3071r to the side and tune it on e85, should absolutely fly. I cam to the realization that after owning a 330rwkw vl and an 11sec gtr this thing would never satisfy me with a k donk

G'day everyone, just wondering who has had custom engine/gearbox mounts made up by a professional for an engine conversion in their rolla and how much they cost. I'm putting a mental ca18 into my ke20 and need to know what I'll be looking at cost wise. Any help appreciated, cheers

love it mate you have done an awesome job.. Wouldn't be interested in knocking up some mounts for a ca into ke20 would you? I assume they'd be the same as sr20 ones?

how about runing the intake backwards into the wiper well? I have seen this done alot

So, a couple of updates. Have converted the front to ke30 disk brake and hub conversion. Also have a new diff with ke30 brakes/hub and the manual ratio which I stripped to bare metal, primed and painted. Radiator, fan, shroud and stone tray are being degreased and ribbed back as we speak to be primed and painted. Also rubbed back and primed the airbox, not sure what colour I'll paint it yet though.. The front struts will be pulled back out, stripped down and painted in gloss black like everything else. pics
