    Yeah. You're making it out as if I enjoy scraping tyres. Which I don't. Just saying that it's not really that important. With some sensible wheels and tyres, what's wrong with the car? But yeah each to their own.

    The car isn't even that low. It just has ridiculously large wheels on it. They're his guards, his tyres, he fixes them and he replaces them. No harm done to anyone here. Everyone here is just looking for any excuse to write of drift(ers) nowadays. Granted, the guy looks like a tool but that is one of the nicest KE70's I've ever seen. Nicer than any on this forum and probably nicer than most in Australia. If you can't appreciate that car for what it is, then there's something wrong with you. Not having a crack at you Dave, you're just walking into flatcap territory is all.

    ?? Doesn't bother me in the slightest. If he has the time and or money to fix his guards and buy new tyres then it doesn't mean much. Still the nicest 70 to look at. And would be a ball of fun to drive.

    There are still good tyres out there for 14's. Just not that many. I think GT Radial make a 185/55 (I think). I'm sure Achilles do aswell. Bang for buck, Hero do a 185/55 and Falken do the 195/45 but are bit more expensive. I know Federal do a similar if not the same size too. Just gotta look for them I guess. 15's are cool for the tyres but in my opinion are a little too large for most Corollas. But whatever floats your boat man.

    No engine mounts? I just used some old fuel tank straps to hold mine in. Seriously though, this is great. I'm actually still in the race, I'm just trailing close behind now instead of miles back. Who knows, maybe I could even pull a Steven Bradbury out of the bag :P

    Why do you need a Hilux or an R31 diff? A T series or an S series should be able to cope with the GZE and would be much easier and cheaper. There are no LSD options for an S series. There are LSD's available for T series.

    AE86 brakes are fine. You'll need AE71 running gear. Have a look here on the forum and you'll get more of an idea of what you want/need

    So you're driving in Matsuri too?? Keen. There's a few Toyotas in there. It's going to be mad fun. And Slowlearner, no I'm not saying that a 4AGE conversion is as expensive as a BEAMS conversion because it just isn't. But it can be expensive if you let it. 20v's are a more costly conversion than a 16v. I've spent anywhere from $6,500 to $7,500 on my 20v conversion and that's my friends and I doing most of the work. I've heard of people getting away with $10,000 for a BEAMS AE86 doing all the work themselves. Do the math..

    YES! Can't wait to see it there! I'll be looking out for any and all T18's. My car should be running and finished sometime next week!! And I'll be hitting the last QR day before Matsuri to try and get a feel for the car. Can't be driving my car for the first time AT Matsuri haha

    Not quite as economical (SR's are going to need recos etc too) but when you start working the 4AG, headwork, cams, boost if you want to go that way, you were probably better off just going SR20 and having the potential for more there. $5k on headwork, $500-1000 for cams, then you can throw ITB's at it, ECU's and tuning, valvetrain etc. It starts getting expensive for what is in the scheme of things, not much power.. The 4AG isn't THAT big of a job to throw in a KE70, I just think if I'm going to do a conversion again, I'm going to make it worth my while.
