I've spent anywhere from $6500 to $7500 on my 20v conversion and that's with NO labour. Honestly though, if I were to do it again, I'd be starting with an AE71. Either that or just a different motor. BEAMS, SR20 etc. 4AGE's are considered an easy conversion but for the messing about I went through with the W55 box, I may aswell have chosen a different engine.

I understand. I really do. I love E7's too. And it is sad to see alot of them go but if their card's up, it's up. Are you going blacktop or silvertop 20v? Your stock pistons will do just fine. If you're really worried about it, just give it a reco. Aftermarket rods are advisable, some people do without them but I wouldn't leave it to chance if you want to rev the motor hard.

I'm going to have to agree with you Jono. Not every young person that owns an E7 drives a ʞ©$ɟed up, dinged up, sorry example of one to be used as a "fully sick drifter". Take a look at Matt(schlong_13)'s "Cadbury" KE70. It's clean as. Doesn't drift it, young guy. Nice car. There are alot of douchebags out there but you are generalising the whole flatcap thing way too much.
