To some degree I concur, But for big heavy cars would be ideal Billet axels with large bearing journals would suffice

I'm not actually aware of any street driven 30's with a 9 inch in them, they are a large diff but does not mean bigger is better, Scott ran a high 7 in his 20 and sure he has a hilux diff up back

Slot some billet axels in the hilux diff, and weight and reliability won't be a prob, Unless you have a huge fuel system and big stereo with weight over the back with sticky tyres you won't break it, I drove mine as a daily and threw heaps at it and just spun the tyes

I don't understand how this happens, I took my 30 to heaps of meets, drove her everywhere and never got a full over considering how complex it was, been to a few DS meets and never see anyone being defected, is there like an underground thing?

I hit my firewall with a hammer to make it fit for both the 30 and mk1 cortina, I have a 76mm thick intercooler and Holden 3 core radiator with 16inch thermo and temp switch I was going to use in the cortina but won't suit, They both had brackets made to fit, If your interested flick me a pm

Police always knew about it, they just wanted to know where everyone want afterwards haha I went a fair bit but my corolla got known too much and live bands and beers were better since Thursday night's were the one to go out in the car

Seems you have answered my question and can relate to the manifold design for efficiency, was hard to tell in the pics, but as always on the ball, I do wonder how many times you have changed your mind on the setup and parts to get where you are, haha, I hate that, bah
