FOURTEEN MILES PER GALLON, f@$k! NOT EVEN MY 4K GETS THAT!!!! (actually, with my stock 3k i was obtaining 36mpg, now that is a good state of tune) -
haha remember the old days? SSs with pursuit rims, when they come normally with factory mags. they so werent fooling anyone :D
-
how about you tell your girlfriend to FO and you'll do what you damn well like with your time and money
-
i didnt think unmarked cars had lights exterior to the car (kinda defeats the purpose of having the car unmarked yeah?), even D cars have the magnetic light on a curly cord, or lights on the dash behind the windscreen. in nsw anyway. was it a stock six or an XR8? i'm generally untrusting of any new or previous-to-new model saloon. mangas and camrys included nowadays maybe they were hurrying to a drug bust or something. it's pretty widely known that detectives and general duties usually don't give a f@$k about minor traffic offences, and even major ones. i could tell a few stories where we've gotten away with insane shit because the cops who saw us weren't highway patrol

gtx2 is probably the worst oil available. i'd sooner use $6 kmart oil than gtx2 the rattling noise in your 4k (well, one of them) is probably the timing chain wearing through the timing cover. K motors are generally rattly, as are all old motors. spark, tappets, etc
-
i know :rolla: this could spark a discussion on oil. both my engine shop and my mechanic love penrite and swear by it, i personally don't use it, find it wears quicker and doesnt provide as good initial pressure. whatever you use, DON'T PUT GTX2 IN IT! :D if i was running my motor in again, i'd use running in oil for 250km, a mineral oil for 1000-1500km, then switch to xW/50 synthetic

he means masonite use vht yinyl color to change the color of your pvc vinyl doorcards, however if the doorcard sees alot of action (ie: drivers side one cos your leg's always against it) the stuff tends to rub off after time. you'd never spray a seat with it you can also get your doorcards retrimmed, or do it yourself. just strip off the shit and make new pieces of material, buy some velour or vinyl from a motor trimmer, staple it to the back like you would when covering a parcel shelf, you could probably glue it too. drill (very) small holes in the backing and you can sew cool designs into it as well pretty sure you could use a window winder from just about any car, get some chrome ones off a ke20/30, there's bound to be thousands of others at the wreckers that will fit personally, i think nothing is more leet than carbon fibre doorcards. you'd be looking at a fair bit of $ for the sheets, but mmm drool drool drool, weight saving drift spec to color plastic, you use a plastic primer and a paint to match it. speak to a proper car paint shop (retail smash repairs etc), they should be able to sell you the right stuff

i've probably spent a bit under $4500 on the ke25, including buying the car i did have $7500 to spend on the ke35, but i pissed most of that away on pointless crap like thai food and ebay. i did end up with a tough 4k though :D

haha yay, its not the head, just the tappet cover gasket split and leaking out. man this engine has alot of crankcase pressure. i need to fit another breather hose. my mate had the idea of putting an oil/air separator can off the sump. maybe my ring gaps aren't lined up as well as they could be, shrug? at least i have a head that's torqued down to like 60+ ft-lb now :D i need to ditch this f@$kin watery 5w synthetic oil too. back to pennzoil straight 30 mineral for me
-
WOW THAT'S overrated, WHERE THE f@$k DO YOU GET CARS THAT GOOD FOR 500 BUX!!! nice find, may it live long and prosper (and drift)

i've driven a fair few different cars. i hate fwd but they are easy to control. i stil haven't really got the hang of rwd power over i once took a mates zze122 corolla out for a strap, trailbraking at 120km/h with the back end getting way too floaty for even my liking, and doing handbrakies around my industrial estate (aka local drift zone) and his sister in the back goes "wow you're a really good driver", i'm like "er no" :D i've also driven well over 125000km now, thanks to having my last two jobs driving around fixing crap
-
bmw 318i, some of us had it hard :D i used to eat CE lancers on a regular basis. up hills too. i sold it because i got sick of things breaking. $97 tie rod ends. $1000 stock pistons. $300 bosch motorsport fuelpump (yes thats what it had stock)
-
looks like my weber manifold :D good work
-
haha i also learnt to drive in a mazda 323, though it was one of those old school ones, the first fwd. there's a drag car that model, it makes me laugh every time i see it, i can just see myself practicing hillstarts in it :D yes new cars are boring and usually quite bland as far as driver feedback goes. my mum has a brand new Mazda3 SP23. it's got like a 126kw 2.3L four, if you have the windows up it feels like the slowest car on earth, despite the fact you're doing 140km/h before you know it. it SO needs an exhaust and lowering. this is why i like old corollas, at least they FEEL quick (tip: lowering your car makes it feel quicker, as you're closer to the road as you watch it wizz past) one of my best mates has an 11 second wrx, its the actual quickest car i've been in, it eats almost anything you meet on the highway or at the traffic lights. but the quickest FEELING vehicle i've been in would be a datto 1200 ute with a stock gze in it, which "only" manages a 14 second pass. damn what fun :rolla:
-
you'll probably find they don't care, imaing how many young kennys they have calling up every day "mate ar how much for the full sik exhaust for my car?" i paid $280 for a 2" press bent pipe with a resonator and a muffler, i supplied my own extractors, a new dump had to be made from the collector onwards

its interesting from a historical perspective. i would dare to say that drifting has only caught on majorly over here in the last 18 to 24 months. i can remember when you'd go up the coast and nobody had ever even THOUGHT of risking crashing their silvia into a powerpole, let alone built one that would do it that Side By Side game in pac fair came out around the same time, i think SBS2 was 1996. nice to know how far we are behind japan btw, in shutogou battle, the first option is career mode, the 2nd is vs mode, the 3rd is practice mode, the 4th is controls, and 5th is options. i just race in practice mode. you can redefine the snes9x controls easily enough, if you have a gamepad (or, like me, a psx controller) on your pc

angela's car is putting about 170hp down at the treads now, or ~225hp at the engine. that's still with a stock diff by the way (she doesnt do burnouts, she says the funnest part is stepping the back out changing from 2nd to 3rd). that's with the old turbo's fuel map too, she had it booked in to get tuned again last week. her biggest point of restriction now is the head, in particular the size of the valves there are A12 motors with GT25 turbos making in the region of 250hp, and they're really similar to K motors. so it's do-able

buying things? what? use an emulator! www.snes9x.com

GUYS!!! i just found a drift game for super nintendo, it's called Drift King Shutokou Battle!!! you can get it on romnation.net and rom-world.com, it's even got Takashi with the green suit! its like mario kart but with a supra, silvia, and some others i didnt look at yet. you must all go and download it now and play it until the wee hours there's also a phat arcade drifter called Side By Side in intencity pacific fair at the moment, stay on the outside of the curve and chuck it, liftoff throttle drift, the cars turn in really well
