don't cut springs. dodgy and illegal i would change to ke70 front struts (better brakes, smaller diameter spring so you can lean struts in for camber if you get/make adjustable tops) and get custom springs made up to suit think twice about adding a leaf in the back, i've done it and if i did it again, i'd just reset a stock sedan pack to keep the spring rate soft yes, if you change anything on the front of the car, you'll need a wheel alignment. 2.5 to 3 degrees castor, even setback, 1mm toe in is how i like it

anyone would have to be a tool to volunteer to tune that :y:

personally i prefer 4.3s 4.5s make the revs too high on the freeway, 4.1s are just that little bit too slow i might try the 4.2 center i just found tonight, i didn't even know i had it :n:

if it's a cams-approved motorkhana, you need a helmet that complies with the same standards as a motorbike helmet i just got my helmet out, the number is AS1698 mine's a full-faced $700 shoei, but i'm lucky. some of my mates race with open-faced $120 helmets, and really, for the occasional racer, that's more than enough open faced helmets are crap ideas on bikes, because if you come off on your chin, you're likely to lose your jaw. as in the bottom half of it. such a danger isn't really present in a car, so it's fine

if you have a cams license, you get the competitor handbook, in which there are actually decent guidelines for building your own cams approved cage if you use the right metal, and your welds are good enough, i'd fancy you might even be able to get a homebuilt cage cams approved. you'd have to be REALLY good tho
