  1. that's alot of fun for 300 bucks, no matter what it's in :) don't tell me you're driving this thing round? that would be so amusing
  2. you must have been driving miss daisy, i used a whole tank of fuel in 3 hours when i first put my 32/36 on my stock 3k LOL!!! saying of the month!
  3. oh yeah, and those 4 prong spark plugs are crap. they shield the spark from the combustion mixture, leading to worse combustion and drop in power. whatever moron let them slip thru onto the market needs to be shot
  4. i personally prefer ngk and denso. ngk are just a good solid product, and i have seen densos last well beyond triple their service life, and they're what toyota use stock so they must be good :) i don't think a $25 (EACH!!!) spark plug is going to make a lick of difference in any k motor, with its imprecise and inconsistent air/fuel metering and crappy combustion chamber shape maybe if you were running an efi high compression twinky crossflow thing (100kw 4age for instance) you would have reason to use a decent plug for a K motor, about the most r&d you'd bother doing would be to index the plug and do a few dyno runs with the electrode facing different ways, probably only good for 1 or 2 rwhp anyway that being said, i'd never tried fancy plugs, so if anyone does and likes them, i'd be interested to see some definitive test results (ie: not the "butt dyno")
  5. i want to see one of these water pumps with the obligatory "blitz, apexi, bomex, etc" shopping list down the side :)
  6. i would buy the twincarb meteor hey. absolute piece of shit to drive, but would go like the clappers :) talk him down to 500 bucks
  7. i have enough trouble with "hand time", never mind binary! :)
  8. their house has a huge sign out the front "warning: virgins live here"
  9. he probably sobered up and forgot about posting here
  10. that is what's called "rice"
  11. but it's not locked all the time, you can still turn a corner
  12. yeah, bog it and smooth it back, bog again if you need to it's hard to sand bog on plastic because they both are different hardnesses, a power sander is too imprecise, you'd be best to use a sanding block and do it by hand
  13. i have an idea: just set them to something and see how quiet they go you could probably get away with something like 6/8 on a stock engine, 10/12 would definitely be enough to not burn out valves running thicker oil makes your tappets alot quieter
  14. the reluctor sensor? last 4a-c i played around with had electronic dizzy already
  15. classy. my wiring sucks but at least it works and it's semi-neat. it's amazing how much people can f@$k a car with so little effort the pencil tho, that's a truly inventive move :)
  16. um, bog it?
  17. choke is for girls :)
  18. there has never before been a car which screams "i need bags" so badly as this one!
  19. haikal should have one from his last exhaust tip :(
  20. haha this should be good :(
  21. oh yeah, i'm used to K motors :( manual time for you :D
  22. if there's something you can rest the filter on, like there's the throat lip on a K aisan carby, you can just make two round flats of metal, cut a hole in the middle of one, and use long bolts and some nuts to hold it together. just make it to suit any filter you find at supercheap, maybe the stock corolla one so you don't forget the part number :( can provide dodgy diagram if required
  23. OHH it's a hillman! cool :(
  24. steel wool tends to scratch chrome, so do scotch brites calico wheels are far better imo and you get a far better smoother finish with a high speed polishing wheel than you could ever get with elbow grease
  25. L series would be an easy as f@$k swap into a corolla, compared to the amount of stuffing round to get a 3SGE in there. but no prizes for guessing which would give the better result :(
