  1. Buy me a carton of Beam cans and I'll hide the wiring in your whole engine bay if you want. Same as I was doing to that coupe the other week, and my car.
  2. Just waht I want to here....not, I'm off to Queenstown in September for a boarding holiday too. And people think Tassie is cold!!
  3. I've got an alloy TRD cap. Bought it off ebay for $17.
  4. haha, yeah maybe had that one coming. In our (tasmanian's) defence, cold air and turbo cars are a good mix!!
  5. Had a similar problem once in the rx4, except it happened at 80kmh, gone at 75 or 90, just right on 80, which really sucks when you're on your P's!! anyway, sent it in for a wheel balance and allignment, which was done and the shake was still there. Guys in the shop said it was casued by the tyres! Because the rx has a little camber, inside were past the tread wears, but the outsides were still legal. This imbalance in the tyre was causing the shake!! Put brand new tyres on her and the shake was gone for good. If I were you, I'd deffinenatly be looking at wheel AND TYRE balance first, if possible, buy some new front tyres. If you've still got it after then, then look further abroud. :D
  6. only mod really neccessary is modification to the sump or cross member, preferably the cross member. Because of the 7k's longer stroke (its basically a stroked 5k) the sump is a bit deeper. So the mod to the cross member is to make room for this bigger sump. Apart from that, wack a 3/4/5k flywheel and clutch to suit on it and your about ready to go (with a k40/50). You could use the 7k gearbox and therefor flywheel and clutch, but I know a member here just bought a 7k GB for $880!!! so there a fair bit more expensive, but are stronger.
  7. Polished the roof of the rolla a couple of weeks ago, so all the rain we had yesty settled in big gloops......and then froze last night. Thought it looked pretty cool. This was taken at 915 this morning!! mind you it was parked in the shadow of my van, you can see it accross the roof.
  8. My 4 should be wearing some RS5's in the next couple of weeks, just waiting for the new s5 4 pot struts to be finished up first. :D I was in on the AR.com group buy too, but that was a long story hey! I actually bought a set of RS5's about a month befor the group buy started in 4x114/4x100 +38. Then when I saw the group buy happening I sold this set to fund the group buy wheels. So you can imagine my state of mind when we finally found out it had fallen through. Very very lucky for me, I actually ended up buying back the set I sold at the same price. Oh well these ones are gun metal/polished lip, so they're the ones I prefferred over the hyper black/polished.
  9. At least I'm not the only one here then with "mixed emotions"!!
  10. Nice Cap/RX2!!
  11. My old offer of posting you a diff stands Cameron!!
  12. mad f@$ker!! :D
  13. sweet! Still got the 7? Yeah think about it, frogga had a dash with no grill. Blue one with Borbets had the lot.
  14. yeah "frogga" is probably one of the cars your thinking of, thats just a 1300 wagon with an r100 grill and dash. There was also a neat 13bt blue one with borbets getting around a couple of years ago in FF, that was the same deal, but without the grill and dash.
  15. I sent you a PM about this last week with no reply!! I was in Hobart yesterday and wanted to have a look, and FYI my pockets are full after recently selling my turbo kit!!
  16. 3k or 4k head on a dished piston 5k will drop CR not raise it. Just port and polish the original 5k head.
  17. I think what paulie means is guards from a square front ke70 sedan/wagon will fit a square front ke70 panel van. and the same with the slant front. So are both the vehicle you speak of sqare fronts?
  18. Just move to tassie cobba. ;) .....what road rules!! :) :)
  19. Exactly what box is in the ra60? a W50? Look here if so.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=12935
  20. 1300 :) no such thing as a genuine R100 wagon. :)
  21. Well last week end was d-day for the carby kit. Spend seriously all last weekend working on this car. :) The owner of the car was given a list of stuff to be done befor he bought the car to me, think about 5% of this list was done!! :) So I had to re-wire the WHOLE engine bay. Anyway, got there in the end, only thing to do is put the back half of the exhaust in, which I will do tonight. Got the cooler fitted in this car better than it ever has been in both of mine, just fits between the uncut grill and stock radiator with some creative angle grinding - ofcourse I had to do this too. ;) Here's a couple of pics of "Ned's" new home.....
  22. You back in SA now Dan?
  23. Don't arm yourself with steel, arm your boys with rubber!! :hmm: Make love, not war!
  24. most mazda coolers just have brackets on the sides of the end tanks. would just be a matter of making some brackets to bolt to then. Some also hang from the rad, but same deal with the brackets.
  25. Yeah you've just gotta deal with another angry farther when one of your boys knocks up his daughter!! Congrats on the new arrival.
