  1. what did it look like it was there to have body work done? I need a '38 to put 3 diffs under!!
  2. .....and you might have a new quarter mile time to chase!!
  3. The toyota equivilent of an RX5!!
  4. were was the unrego'd 38 Casey!?
  5. Do a fuggin search, show us you're not soo lazy!!! like this.... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=11718
  6. Think they're around 80, 81, 82'ish. Which ever one has a 200mm/29mm/19T clutch kit.
  7. FYI, all webers these size use the same thread sizes needle and seats with different flow rates. This means you can take a working N&S out of a weber from a falcon, cortina, fiat, alfa, etc and it will fit your carby. My old weber in the turbo set up is off a 1.3lt fiat, with a 4.1lt falcon N&S, so fuel delivery to the float bowl is never going to be an issue.
  8. at least somebody know what I'm on about then.
  9. Have both at home so I can check. You can always use a KM20 liteace flywheel and clutch, and BH!! with a W50. Clutch spline is the same and I can garentee a KM20 flywheel and pressure plate will fit inside a KM20 BH. funny that!!
  10. Oil cooler like that (particularly the way you have done the hoses) don't work without 6 foot long upward facing exhaust tips and 20+ degree of camber!! Still looks too big for a gen 1 cooler robert!! And in al reality you don't even need an oil cooler on a turbo K, let alone an NA one!!
  11. My carby turbo kit got all pulled out on the weekend, so this (7k efi) is what I will be spending the next few eeks doing. Power figures - none for me yet, but madrolla68 made 146rwkw on a 5kte with the 7k efi. With bigger (320cc'ish) injectors. Stock injectors are s1upposed to be 195cc, but he flowed them the other day and got 170cc. The 7k has quite larger sqarish ports, so just port match your head to them and thats porting done. So to answer your question - YELL YEAH ITS WORTH DOING!!
  12. Don't reckon It'l need tunnel modding for a w50. W55, 58 etc yeah. W50 is out of an RA40 celica....that I know of, probably more. W40 is from a corona.
  13. This might sound stupid, but be thankful it was a windscreen (biggest piece of glass) not a rear quarter window (smallest piece of glass) as it'l probably be cheaper!! Provided you can get a second hand windscreen. :)
  14. I was under the impression you could use a 7k flywheel on a 5k, as I was looking for one, but really have no idea weather it can be done or not. If the 7k crank was counter balanced, you may be able to get a 3/4k flywheel balance to match it. There is a guy on rollaclub who has a 7k with k40/50, he spend like $450 or something stupid on a custom clutch plate that went on a 7k FW, but matched the k40/50 input spline. If you want a KR42R gearbox, then budget for around $800-$900 for the box alone. You then need to do a hydro clutch convo, as these boxes are are hydro, not cable. You will also need the out put spline for the back of the GB, to be modded onto a ke30/55 tail shaft. So expect ove $1k to convert to this GB. :) I can make another suggestion for you: Have a look through my how to fit a W50 GB to a K series engine thread. If you were to get yourself a W50 or W40 and tail shaft yoke from a celica or corona, a KM20 liteace bellhousing, clutch fork, and TOB retainer, then use the 7k FW with a stock PBR KR42R clutch pack ($180) not in heavy duty (not really needed anyway!) then you're all good to go. So to do this option price are below: KM20 BH, clutch fork, retainer - $275 (I can get this for you from a local wreckers, but its that price as he won't seperate from the GB, so you can get that too, but its for column shift) W40/50 and tailshaft yoke - $50 to $200 depending were you get it. I paid $50 for mine (thanks James  ) 7k flywheel - you've already got it KR42R clutch kit - PBR stock kit - $180, RPM heavy duty - $230'ish can't remeber **Note, a 7k clutch matches up perfect to a W40/50 box!! :P So total of $505 to $705. Lemme know if you want more info.
  15. :) :P :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: Picked up a KM20 liteace flywheel and clutch yesty IN LAUNCESTON!! So I will be updating this thread very shortly as I now have everything I need to do the conversion. Just waiting to get a tail shaft back.
  16. You were supposed to be having an inspection of the car yesty or this morning or something weren't you Justin? So did you tell somebody the address of were to find the car!? Just seems a bit coinsidental that it happened when you had a "buyer"!! :)
  17. It is also a GT Apex version, not an SS I know, but that would also jack the price up a little. Oh and $25k is the first payment. Its $33,900 landed!!! :)
  18. Thats a pretty serious sounding engine anastasios!! Out of interest, what quad throttle bodies are you usingon it? 20v, or some type of after market items? Also, what Haltech do you have and would you consider seperating it? I'm on the hunt for an ECU again!
  19. :lolcry:
  20. yes they would be an upgrade as ancullen has stated, but...... click on honda and toyota here... http://www.dba.com.au/2006/catalogue_aust.asp The prelude discs are 260mm diametre, and a corolla has 218mm discs. You could just put the honda calipers straight on the ke30 hubs/discs, but to make the most of the upgrade, you really want bigger discs to. But then you would have to space out the caliper on the mounts to clear the bigger discs. Half a dozen of one, 12 of the other really. Other option, which is very similar to what I am about to do. Just use the honda calipers straight onto the ke30 hub, and then buy some new slotted and crossed drilled ke30 rotors. They're $150 a set from supercheap! Thats what I'm doing, but with rx4 calipers, not honda. :lolcry: Oh and why you selling the rx7 calipers ancullen!? something else in planning now?
  21. That sounds like a good potential 4x4 ke38!! :lolcry: PM me some pics cobba. Probably be in Hobart next week end, so I might have to come have a look then. :no2:
  22. While your waiting for my reply (will be tomoz now), have a good read of this thread..... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=2341 Just had it re-pinned today. Read ALL OF IT, and then maybe re-PM me with anything you don't understand. :lolcry:

    Dirt

Did not know that, would be very handy info. :lolcry: thanks. Wheel track on the rolla isn't too much of an issue as the flairs that are on my other car come in 1,2, and 3 inch versions. I've only got 1"!!

:lolcry: :no2: :D By the sounds of it I could have bought it, pulled the engine out and sold that for $2000 and kept the running gear for free!!
  25. Mate option C, definately. Its not worth pulling a head off and NOT machining it IMHO. Uless the head has only been used for like a week prior to removal. It'll be fine for like 15+psi, not just 6psi!!! :no2: As long as you have the fuel system to support higher boost. PS, I am getting to replying to your PM's. :lolcry:
