Use the bike gear box for the actual gear changing and run it through a k40 for the 1:1 4th gear.....and reverse! There's a couple of busa powered starlets in nz with that setup.

I do have other plans for the 7k, not that that project will probably ever happen. Plus I would prefer the revvier nature of the 5k. I did do a little bit of porting on the exhausts. More so just a clean up and an smooth though. Can't go too huge though due to the size of the runners on the manifold. Got about 200km on it now. Definately needs some more fuel in the map.

I've got tomei chrome moly push rods in mine, surely you could shorten some of those for the 3k. A12 rods btw.

Oh yeah, the bottom end will pull revs easy its the valve springs that will give out first.

Its alive again! Needed a little more fuel dialed in like the 7k. Went and spoke to a mechanic about some road tuning, will get some k's racked up and get her sorted. Should be able to get some more timing in it with the lower comp. Hill starts are now even more fun with the lightened fly wheel, button clutch, hd pressure plate and 7:1! :rolls:

I'm also of the opinion that 300 is probably a little enthusiastic for a 3k. 25psi will get around 150-160rwkw..... And that's really about all the head will flow. Just because your maths says 50% more pressure will give Xrwkw doesn't mean it works in reality. Remember when comparing the 3k to a 4age that the 4age is also cross flow! I'd still like to see you price me wrong though. Thought about cam specs to achieve 10k rpm? And lobe seperation?

All done just having a small starting issue, should be all good shortly.....hopefully!

Its currently tuned for 98. I'll run it in and readdress. We've got a liberty or two selling e blends up here now, not sure if they do e85, might investigate.

decent sized single will outperform any twin setup these days altezza. I think this will be more of a matter of "tuning" A/R ratios to suit the rev range.

Sure did, got my old ones to offload now with the rods I got off you. Should hopefully be running tomorrow morning all going to plan. Could be tonight if I wanted. The manifolds are all on just need to drop it in, couple of fuel and water lines on, clutch and acc cables and fill with fluids.
