Funny that cause I originally bought that ecu off ebay and iirc the ad said something about an fj20! Was 5+ years ago now though.

Any swap meets in hobart? You might not find something toyota, but generic and old school enough to suit your taste.

There's not much wiring on a K so pretty much forget that. Just get the 4k, strip it down to a "long block" and just transfer all the 3k bits on. Carby, dizzy, alternator etc etc.

Why do you find all the bargains Gav!? That my friend is indeed "rocking horse shite" in the form of a cable K-T bellhousing. Gearbox is a TA22/T18 style T50, which has the shifter position the same as a 30/55 style box. If you've also got a k50 in then the tailshaft will also slip straight in with no mods. So to fit it all you really need to do is get a new clutch kit (the K-T's use the kit listed by most clutch companies as "Some 5 speeds" with the 21 spline shaft) and sort out a cross member...... which could just be a matter of rotating it 180 degrees.

Dash fixed and repainted I just had a few things that required the car to be off the road for a little while. Never planned for it to be around 12 months! :rolls:

So I've been doing a little road tuning lately. Have got it driving, and more importantly starting really well now. Went out for a little drive yesterday and got a couple of pics...... Now have around 450km on the motor. Its currntly getting the rear screen tinted today, I removed all of the side glass to get that done. Heaps better result as tyhe tint goes under all the rubber and flocking instaed of 1-2mm off the edge. Oh and here's a pic of Byron lapping my valves....

Have you taken said pump out of the tank yet? If not, just because it has a wiring plug doesn't mean its a pump..... Maybe its a level device!?

I reckon even just idle oil pressure would bleed out the cooler pretty quickly

Hate to say I've never had my own o2 sensor, but I'm going to get one rather soon so I can do some more tuning myself.. I've always known it needed some more off boost, drive-ability tuning. Thats why its being road tuned this time,.... rather than getting a sheet with a number in the corner.

S1 rx7 brakes are nothing special at all. S4-5 on the other hand is definately worth doing, then just redrill in 4x110 like I did on my rx4.

Use the bike gear box for the actual gear changing and run it through a k40 for the 1:1 4th gear.....and reverse! There's a couple of busa powered starlets in nz with that setup.

....yeah or not! Hmmm, do you think the fuel mapping needs some work? This was the tune done like 3 years ago now....... So my wolf 3d is effectively running a 2d fuel map. :rolls:
