  1. Lol ah the lack of exhaust brings back memories!
  2. Does your username have anything to do with your location? I could probably find one in the shed in launy if so...wouldn't lock though.
  3. I didn't mean you by 'previous owner'. Twas whoever put the 7k in.
  4. I know who you are now!....spoke to your dad lol
  5. Got a turbo intake rewelded last week so I've finally got my proper snorkel and filter back on now. Got my original fluttery bov sound back now! And really surprised how much it changes boost response - was spiking 17'ish, running 15 psi without, then spiking 22, running about 18 psi with it! Also finally pulled the 7k semi apart, and worked put why it bhg'd..... In the wagon I bought it in, to retain the a/c the previous owner has swapped the 3k double crank pulley onto the 7k. All good.....apart from the fact that the pulley and timing marks don't line up. :rolls: So end of the day when I timed the motor with the turbo/efi stuff on it, it actually had about 45-50° more timing in it than what I though it had! Might have something to do with why it was a bitch to start and needed 35% more fuel.
  6. Kr42r townace
  7. You might be suprised how much some back pressure might help once you connect a full exhaust!
  8. Nah mate they're definately dual outlet, have a closer look at those pics you can just see the top of the second hole. Same gasket on the dual flange as a ke55 by the looks of it. Copper is definately the best gasket material too.
  9. Ha. Yeah new wheels which are 15's so they're different semis, finally painted the flares and fitted with piping and new bolts and got it tinted too. Might be rolling on some alecias in the next couple of weeks too.
  10. Yeah if its running with 10° and the points are set ok put a little but of attention into the fuel side of things.
  11. D's? Would be around 20cc's for the sake of some calculations.
  12. Beaten....lol I was actually going to suggest finding that thread as I knew it had pics of the ex mani. Oh and 7ke's have much larger ex ports too! If you can be bothered searching I posted a pic once of a 7ke manifold gasket next to a 3kbp head once.
  13. I doubt the forklift ones would be any better andy. Being in a more confined space I dare say they'd worse! Imho I reckon the dual outlet ke55 ones are the best of the stock systems. Almost like 4>2>1 extractors with a flange in the middle. ...and I was just about to say I've never seen a stock system without the hotbox....but I have! 7ke's still bolt to the bottom of the inlet manifold, but the don't have a hotbox opening in the top of the exhaust. Not 100% sure but I think they're a dual system too. We've talked speedway dads before haven't we andy? Did you see someone spent $1300 on a set of k series roller rockers a month or two ago?
  14. Nfi of post in question but glad I could help. Will it just not idle with 10°? If you can get some one else to hold some revs on while you knock it back and it revs ok, maybe your lack of idle requires some carb adjustment too?
  15. Probably looks a little different to the last time you saw it!?
  16. Funny you should mention response....... I'm currently trying to optimise throttle response through adjusting the accelerate enrich and decel enleanment settings. Much easier said than done.....with an aftermarket ecu!! That combined with the change of vacuum/load from the different t/b and manifold as dave mentioned is most likely going to put the factory map up the shit. I seriously can't see you getting any real benefit from the conversion without tunability. Chances are it will run worse than it does now!
  17. Got the road tuning done today. Running nicely on 16 psi, can really notice the cam now, maybe slightly less rpm than the last one but it feels so much stronger through the mid range now. ....oh and my speeding ticket could have been a lot worse, so i'll just take that one on the chin. Lol
  18. So who owns the red ke30 with the turbo motor in launy?
  19. Basically trimmed back to just below the bolt holes.
  20. TE27 on mine. The guards have been trimmed underneath but if you're only doing it for looks you could probably avoid that. Still gotta drill holes though.
  21. ...will also have some numbers on the spark plug side and some shitty valve stem seals.
  22. Google "scavenging effect" ;)
  23. Service today....... Grins tonight! :D
  24. Are you tuning by load or tps?
