  1. Ah, I thought you got another gauge to test it. So the pump will deliver at 36 for a few seconds atleast?
  2. What I mean by make sure it works with all doors is that the door earth trigger normally goes up the B or A pillar and on the 82 it is a 4 into 1 wire so even though you connect it to one then you should be getting a signal from all of them.
  3. Is that before or after the filter? Do a stall test on the pump, you can do this by removing the fuel pump relay and putting a wire from the relay power supply pin (should be 86, check with test light) to the pump power delivery pin (should be 87, check with test light) and block the return line off, make sure the gauge is after the filter, the pressure should jump to what you have it to and then bleed off after a couple of seconds when the fuel pump diversion valve opens.
  4. Had one at my parents house where we would lock the back door and go out the back yard, would of been a good 70m of range. That is why I said to make sure it works with all doors, I am lucky with the AE82 as I can hook it into the dash door light that works with all 5 doors.
  5. How did you go with this? I think you may have the cam gear set on 2a instead of 4a.
  6. I thought there was a piston discussion in the FAQ but I couldn't see one there.
  7. Yeah standard is like 38-40psi, 28 just might not be enough. Really would need to stick a new set of plugs in it.
  8. Fuel pressure should be about 40psi, give the injectors a quick hit with a 12v power supply so the coil becomes unstuck (that's if they are), the ecu will not do this on it's own.
  9. Do you know if it's got fuel pressure?
  10. My mums car, about 3 times now. My car, once. An alarm will never prevent anyone breaking in or stealing a car, obviously have not heard of the latest thefts from Powercruise and the Monaro weekend where cars were stolen which had alarms fitted and activated. http://www.warwickdailynews.com.au/story/2010/09/02/couple-offer-reward-for-info-on-stolen-maloo/ Now what do you think the outcome would of been if the owners had been notified of the car being broken into?
  11. Don't like the way I deal with things then f off.
  12. Well the number one way to reduce car theft and stealing is to catch them, scaring them off just makes them go for another car.
  13. No, read the bottom of the first post. I want to catch the pricks so them being none the wiser about notifying me of the break in they can be sitting in the car and I can run out and catch them.
  14. Yeah but then all you have done is scared the intruders and woken the neighbours.
  15. So last night I didn't really feel comfortable going to sleep knowing that someone had already broken into the car so while is was laying there I began thinking of how I could make a stealth car monitor on the cheap and came up with this which requires: 1x wireless door bell (can get them that work at a decent range). 1x relay. Batteries for the remote and receiver. Now I have not done this as yet but am assuming that it 'will' work. Installation: 1. Locate the earth trigger for the interior light (make sure all doors trigger it) and run a wire to the area the remote relay will be placed. 2. Connect the door trigger earth to pin 85 of the relay. 3. Run a constant power supply to the 86 pin of the relay. 4. Pull apart the remote and remove the switch so you can solder 2 wires into the board instead. 5. Run one wire from the remote board to the 30 pin of the relay and the other wire to the 87 pin. 6. Fit batteries into the remote and hide relay and remote under the dash but make them accessible. 7. Put batteries in receiver and turn it on, now open the door and the chime 'should' go off. Result: Now all you have to do is turn the receiver on and sit it next to you and you now have a car that has no flashing light on the dash, no siren to scare the thieves but will know when someone opens your car door up and hopefully when you run outside to put a 9 iron around their head they will be still in the car for you to get them.
  16. Try carby clean again but check the plugs again because if the injectors have been firing with no spark then the plug will most likely be wet.
  17. Pull the cable out of the middle of the outer and give it a clean and re-lube.
  18. Recheck the injector pulse.
  19. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showforum=94 Make a thread.
  20. Have seen it done on a cortina, looked fairly good but not sure how you will go with strength.
  21. I voted xmoht, I mean Justin Beiber.
  22. ok.
  23. Do you know if the tuner setup the ignition output?
  24. A general rule with plugs is that if there is no -(number) then they will be .8mm.
  25. Yeah. *goes off to make a 2 seater sidecar so I can take the Mrs and kids on the bike with me so I don't get anymore crap car comments*
