  1. Was an awesome day. My exhaust broke again, and this time it looks like new muffler time. Oh well. Got air about 3 times. Heh. Fun fun, I don't think I was meant to. Held a power slide for a good 20 seconds around the back of one course. Most fun I've had in quite awhile  I believe Rob also managed to have this fun :) What a fun course :fuzz: So yes, had heaps of fun, need to spend a lot more quality car time, really still need to get to know the car, especially now with the new diff, it's a whole different car to drive, and I can afford to get it a lot more sideways without losing too much, if any, time. Have to catch that understeer though, it happens a fair bit and is always very unwelcome. Must learn to throw the car a lot more. Rob is a legend. Took out 2 cones, drove half a course in reverse, and still managed to beat me. Grr... And that was in his "slow car" too... I've got a long way to go... Edit: "when I grow up, I want to learn to drive like Rob"
  2. Yes, a friend of mine running a 20V 4AGE KE35 in 3J pretty much ruined his gearbox and diff, and damaged his rear suspension as well when he pole vaulted it down the track...
  3. Hmm, $40 doesn't sound too bad. I wonder how much postage would be? Or maybe someone in Brisbane sells them too...
  4. Awwwwww that's not true... Gah, sooooo close yet so far :)
  5. Hal's going out too  Hopefully I'll get there in one piece and still be able to play! And hmm, that means I'm playing in the same class as Rob again, wheee!!! Hmm, surface = dirt, Rob win automatically :) Teddy: Tried to send PM but your messagebox is full. Haikal is coming with me, so no spare seats, sorry!
  6. "cheap, good, easy to install, not hard to get" Sorry. Not possible. "good, easy to install" - TRD T-series, or KAAZ or Cusco. None of them are cheap. I believe the TRD is the easiest to get. There's been a fair bit of discussion about the Phantom Grip, but I don't think anyone I know has actually tried it. It looks like it should work, but I don't think it would work anywhere near as well as a proper LSD. And yes, if you change to a Hilux diff you'll be getting the whole diff. Probably need to get it shortened too, unless you can find one of the REALLY early Hilux diffs (which are very rare).
  7. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA
  8. How hard is this to make? Is there any rocket science to it? It's just a big metal ring with 2 tabs welded to it to bolt to the floorpan right? How big should the loop be? I believe Jamie has one? Where did you get it from?
  9. I don't even know where Bracken Ridge is
  10. You'd think if it was that hot as to give him blisters and what not, that he'd notice???
  11. Is "shamry" like "she-camry"? Or is "shamry" like "cherry with a difference"? Or am I missing it completely?
  12. ... but Mel, you can't possibly grow up anymore, you've already passed all of that
  13. Hmm, actually come to think of it that spoiler looks like the sort you find on Datto1200's. Maybe it just doesn't quite look right on the sedan shape, maybe it'll look good on a coupe? *hint hint*
  14. btw, I'm being silly
  15. Oh WOW, I recon the crew of that Porsche on the front page would have come back with brown undies  And WOW look at that road (in the photo further down the page)!!!
  16. Hey wow that's pretty cool  Love the paint job and the jelly beans, in fact like everything except for that rear spoiler!
  17. Well, I actually prefer driving the Corolla with no music most of the time. It's just too much of a go-kart
  18. Oh cool you're doing Classic Adelaide! Cool cool cool no wonder you're so busy  See, and you didn't even need to steal my spot... :)
  19. Because you need to find Teddy  Actually no it's not that hard. Just for some reason some people seem to think it is...
  20. I HEAR YOU!!! Well, okay so maybe my daily driver is still lacking in the cruise control, reliability and low range, but gosh the rest of the stuff is GREAT!!! After not driving the Corolla for so long, jumped in it last night and WOW the steering is SOOOO heavy, and I kept trying to turn the radio on, and then remembering that I didn't have one!
  21. No, pay first, then think of transport  Transport is easy to sort out, payment isn't!
  22. I'll try to get onto Haikal. Where is Justin??? Everyone else seems to have disappeared for a bit, probably safe to assume they will probably not come...
  23. That is also true... :)
  24. Heh, as a pizza delivery boy you'd probably actually do quite well if we run through any of the areas you service... Knowledge of the local roads definately helps!
  25. Or, it could be a Holden Apollo! Say... OT time: Remember our discussion not so long ago about how Toyota Lexens tended to be better than Commodores because Holden made them "better" because Toyota were customers etc etc? How does it work for Camry's and Apollo's? Since it was originally a Toyota... Were Apollo's then Toyota's "rejects"?
