Mate of mine use to do them in his old cortina gt. I think the best one he did was when we drove past a couple of cops doing speed checks or something and neither of them battered an eye at us.... I did it once in my old t18, by accident mind you cause the accelerator pedal got stuck open or something and the only thing i could do at the time was to kill the motor, re-started it and.... A work mate was behind me at the time and was telling me the next day that he heard the boom saw flames shoot out the back, shat himself and almost drove off the road....

I'm guessing its a twin cam. I found using the standard airbox with a K and N filter was a lot better. Cut open the bottom of the cover, the part thats behind the crank pulley (you'll have to take the pulley of and while your at it check the keyway) cuts down on crap buildup. Be careful with the fingers as well....

Unless the celica is the 4a or 7a version the auto won't fit. You'd have to get one from either another ae82 or one from a later model (eg - ae92, ae101). But you'll have to look into the driveshafts and see how they fit up to the auto. They could be of a different style to the ae82. I know on the manual ae82 the driveshafts bolt up the gearbox while the later model manuals have the shafts fit in to the gearbox and use something like circlips to hold the shafts in.

Nar its all good, just having a giggle over it :) Cleaned out some of the bog and crap today and welded up some of the low spots, burnt through in two spots but other then that it looks better plus a bit less bog would be used
