Yep been there done that. Made me want to bash my head against the wall. What brightened the whole thing was that i ran into her last year and she was telling me of every thing that happened from getting forced into getting married, having a daughter, having no life at all, having no money cause the hubby took it all for his drug habit. What flattened me was that she turned around and said that she wished she stayed with me, couldn't help but turn around, walk off laughing....

Not including wiring, manifolds etc. CDI - Capacitor Discharge Ignition, which gives not just one big fat spark but multiple sparks. The number of and intensity of the sparks depends on the speed of the motor. HEI - High Energy Ignition, basically it steps up the voltage for the coil (read basic - there is more to it) for a single big fat spark.

Straight from the gregorys manual If none of this works you might have a stretched cable or worse a bent clutch plate

Found it last night after searching the bedroom. And it just shows the oil cooler setup.... sucks But if Holden did an aftermarket (read tricky/fake oil cooler setup) job on the L34 Torana. I can't see what'd be so hard about doing it

None of them are CDI. The Programmable High Energy Ignition System is basically just that.... Its an upgrade of the Universal High Energy Ignition kit. From what i can work out from reading the articles, the Ignition Coil Driver isn't needed. I was thinking of this kit myself at one stage (still do, one step from EFI) but i think you'd get better benefit in aiming straight for the MegaSquirt.

The auto box was the holden trimatic, yes? The gearbox mounts on the car/chassis are in a different spot to the manual version, which you've most likely found out. Your options would be either - <1> Make another gearbox mount which bolts to the mounts on the chassis. It'd be looking a little like a big ol' "[" type of shape (legal side of it plus strength as well, from a one bolt each side of the box hold it to the chassis point of view??). <2> do a "cut and shut" on said chassis mounts to get them into the right spot. (legal side of it plus strength as well?? Would be easier to flip the car over for the welding maybe?). <3> Sell the car for a manual version. I'm at this fork in the road as well

As i found out later on - it depend on how it happens. A hot (or fairly warm) blade can burn the vessels closed, as can having the fingers ripped off, the vessels act like a rubber bands, get stretched and in "breaking off" more or less clamp closed. What chilled me that day was, not so much of having to restart the machine back up, but finding bits of meat and bone in with the wood chips and on the blades.....
