Been there done that, threw out the autographed poster. And five years later my sleep patterns still up the creek. It starts to come good and something throws it out again.

A couple of milk crates, right way up bolted to the floor would be good enough. And if they sook about a sore arse, tell 'em to bring their own cushion.

Ke70, ae86 are both rear wheel drive. Ae82 is a front wheel drive. Not much would be interchangeable, only things like bulbs, tires and maybe fuses.

Ok, whats so phucking good about a bloody tuxedo ?

Just think, it could have been worse. Cabin fever ?

And here i was thinking getting the carpet around the corners was going to be a butch to do Finely mounted up, just needs a couple of little niggles sorted out. Might be a spot for a dvd player Or an xbox :) Next on the cards is to fix up the surround on the head unit.

Nar not really. Just had the thought, maybe underdrive the alternator

Just one hiccup on that Dave - ballast resistor. Isn't the ballast resistor suppose to drop the voltage down to a more user friendly 6-8v for the coil ? But i do see what your getting at with the more voltage the bigger and stronger the spark.

From memory behind that sticker is two untapped holes.

Same same. But i think there'd be one small problem. How often would the brakes be used in a typical 10 lap race ? Maybe wire in a switch into the battery sensor wiring. That way a relay wouldn't be needed.

We only got ours cause we liked the colour, its a high roof wagon and its rego'd. Its green - Eco friendly  In the process of setting it up for camping 6 months rego, can't beat that

 Hello, ke70 owner  And i've already been asked once if i'm going to be racing it or drifting it......

The car doesn't look half bad if you didn't see the wheels and the missing mirror. (correction - the phucked up right hand mirror.) Talking about mirrors - for the love of all things great and small i miss having a left hand mirror. Edit - the correction

Half the reason why i'm not all the fussed on ke70's Its that typical persona of it'll have a 4ag or sr20 of some description and be setup as a pig of some description. Now don't get me wrong cause some do fall outside of the box. And don't get started on my thing, cause yesterday all i wanted to do was tow into the street, throw petrol on it and sing "We don't need no water let the motherphucker burn" "Burn motherphucker burn"

Sure would be pretty interesting with two gearboxes.

Nar bugger that. Shelby Cobra Daytona. Instead of only six being built, have a run of 89. It wouldn't be too hard to put into production due to Fords concept GR-1 but instead of using a v10, run a modern 427 v8 but have it typical Carroll Shelby style - is it a 427 or could it be a 429 or a 428.

I'd say it'd go a bit better off the line since the diff wouldn't be able to wind up as much (if any). Neighbour across the street was running coilovers on his falcon ute that he had for sale. But it was for load carrying not traction control. If it was me, i'd ditch the extra leaves and just use the main leaves for locating the diff and use the coilovers to get the spring rates i want. But than again on me wagon i've been pondering the idea of ditching the extra leaves, keeping the main leaves, using a similar setup to caltracs and running airbags. But than again i'm not after performance and speed.

The two rods would just stop the axle (or diff) from rolling over and causing the leaves to wind up. A similar setup http://www.bigflea.com/corolla/index.cfm?ContentID=109&Nav2ID=7 - and scroll down to Traction Bar (just after Differential Clearance) The setup uses only the one rod. Would be able to possibly get some adjustability into the suspension but you wouldn't get the same as in a four-link. If you can get a pair of coil-overs under the backend, you'll be able to ditch all the extra leaves and just run the big single leaf which is used only for locating the diff. Suspending the diff would come from the coil-overs. Another option you could look into is a leading and trailing four link. Think of the typical four link setup but the arms replace the leaves, the leading arm starts where the leaves where bolted and connects below the diff, the trailing arm connects to the top of the diff and ends around the same spot where the leaves end at the hangers. Easier to setup but it will come at a cost of both arms running in different circles causing the diff spin so to speak.

4Speed Use Same Tail Shaft As 5Speed In Ke30?
towe001 replied to ke666's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Yes, it will. -
Bugger that, 5 inches higher would be better.

Redid the start/ignition wiring it was giving me the shuts on how i had to start the thing. Sequence of how to start the car. Turn the key to ignition for the fuel pump and ignition. Flip on the switch for the electric fan. Push the start button. Turn the fan off. So i pulled half the dash out to figure out the wiring mess was going to rip the manifolds off to figure out what went where. All that had to be done was hook the white wire up to that connection. And who would have guessed. KE55 springs would be able to be used in the 70's spring pack. Ke55 spring shown only cause i forgot to take a side be side photo :(

Its all the same to me. An egg is an egg regardless if the chook is caged, free range or homegrown. The only difference is the price and homegrown seem to taste a little better. But their all still yuck.

God damn it, its not my arse, its the cats arse.
