  1. The 3 speed in question is the trimatic. It'll bolt up to the 5k, the only thing you might find is to change the torque converter to a different stall. And find a vacuum port on the carby for the kick down. Otherwise its all a bolt on swap.
  2. Yep, phucking sheep. I can understand the 4ag conversion cause everyone's done it or its in the build. So there's a lot of tech on it. It'd be nice if someone could think outside the box for once. And not a sr20. Suzuki ?
  3. To brighten ya day A map of of Tassie
  4. Usually its the commodores round here that stick out. Its when you realise that the FJ cruiser sitting next to you at the lights is unmarked not to mention a Rallisport Lancer, a HSV commodore ute, a pimped out Chrysler 300c running on 20in mags, a VW Golf and a Mercedes-Benz ML350 are all unmarked. Sadly once you get to figure them out, they change the cars. Which, from what i've heard, is approximately every 6-8 months. But what an awesome way to test drive a car.
  5. A commodore of some interest Just above the parcel shelf
  6. Import Falcon Thought this was pretty cool at the local mail centre :hmm: i wonder if i isolated the battery....
  7. Spotted at the local Macca's I guess the donut shop isn't good enough these days.
  8. Did a little bit more to a speaker pod earlier. Now i'm onto dinner, then back onto the pod and then its figuring out how i should update my build thread before i go to bed.
  9. And another bonus is that VN parts are cheaper. Hell you can even buy a whole VN for the price of a '71's pedal box. And if your lucky, it'll have long rego.
  10. Yeah its not fun having to be put into that position
  11. Mrs Brown's Boys is side splitting funny.
  12. Dodo I thought Telstra was useless Dodo is that pathetic they make Telstra look like a shining light at the end of a tunnel.
  13. The only thing thats different between the 4k and 5k is the head gasket. Cylinder bores are bigger in the 5k.
  14. We stopped on the motorway for a bonnet shot Sunroof :P Living the hairdresser life
  15. And now all you have to do is make it for us :P
  16. Not this one
  17. Mmmm bacon for dinner :P
  18. Why not make one ? Its not that hard. Like i did when i had my old ae82 seca twincam. I measured the space between the rear strut towers, did some research on other cars and i think it was an adjustable strut brace for a lancer that i picked up for about 40 bucks and made up the mounts that bolted to the strut towers.
  19. Wish i could still do that without the slaps
  20. I shotgun the front :pulp: Oh snap i'm getting picked up Guess i'll be bringing some pillows
  21. With you being in Toowoomba, drop into Sedl Agencies on south street (across from where the sale yards are). While they won't colour match for the general public (paint to paint matching), they will help with matching the paint by colour cards. Make sure you take in a panel (eg boot lid) that has the colour your wanting. If you do drop in ask for Richard, he's the better one to see with the paint. Hopefully he's still there.
  22. Now i know why Evans gone into hiding
  23. Nice how he's based in "Melbourne" and yet the rego plates are QLD.
  24. I'm not giving away any secrets ;) Yep, it sure is. But you have to cover it with body filler before laying down the fibreglass, otherwise the resin will just soak into and soften the foam. I wouldn't recommend just the body filler on its own. Its got some strength but i have crushed in the filler a few times. I don't know if using the fibre filler (metal mend or whatever its called) would be stronger or not.
