  1. +2I Was thinking Toowoomba at first, but now i'm beginning to think Brisbane somewhere.
  2. Mrs Brown's Boys. Watched all 14 episodes of both series one and two (7 ep's each) twice. And we're still busting our gut over the ep's on tv.
  3. What happened, Riley ?
  4. Didn't really worry too much about velco etc to hold it down, just cut it to shape. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/36792-towes-turtle/page__st__60#entry493398
  5. Do what i did with my old '30 - and use a dark towel. I made the mistake of using a bright colourful one (white, yellow, green, etc) and it reflected in the windscreen.
  6. Why'd you have to go and say that for :P Now the ke3x/5x arms are going to go through the roof
  7. Sounds more like he needs to go back onto his L plates for a few years. The smart thing to do would be in hanging back a safe distance and pass them at a safe opportunity and not driving like a muppet hoping to give Darwin a helping hand in evolving the human species to a greater height of intelligence, cause at the moment at our level of intelligence you wouldn't be missed if you wrote yourself off. But, the other people you would have did in would be missed....
  8. Mate, love the front end and just how each bit seems to tie into the next part. The chrome trim on the leading edge of the bonnet, the chrome trim around the lights and the chrome bumper bar act a bit like a border around the black grill. The black lower panel, the black grill and the black bonnet all act like one big bold stripe. Depending on how bad the cracks are on the dashpad, a dash carpet will generally hide the cracks and protect it from further cracking. One way to get some camber into the front is ke70 struts and camber tops. The springs on the ke70 struts are narrower then the ke30's.
  9. Yep, noticed that myself when we was down that way yesterday. But the worst offenders was the typical late model camry (wide body onwards) drivers and mums with a kid in the back.
  10. Seriously have to update the thread a bit with some more photos, if i can get off my arse and grab the memory card out of the camera. Picked up a temp switch for the electric fan - so no more having to remember to turn the fan on. Also bought an electric oil pressure gauge and vacuum gauge. Want to get a volt gauge and tacho but i'm in two minds with a temp guage - i can't see any point in having a second temp gauge cause the factory one works pretty good (at least what i know its good). Left hand door pod is mounted onto the trim, just have to clean it up a little. Fit the door lock solenoid, run all the wiring in the door and refit the door trim and thats the end of that door. And on to the fit and finish of the drivers door... Have to sort out some supports of some sorts for the back rest of the rear seat when i pull out the bum rest for camping. Been thinking of using the laptop as a monitor etc between the rear speakers - just need to make up a mount of sorts to be able to hang the thing upside down. Had a bit of a play with the screen set upside down and so far the only handycap is the mouse tracks back to front. 12v power supply, a wireless keyboard and a wireless modified mouse and i'll be set for those late night movies after the kids go to bed... And a reversing camera - if you've never used one, you don't know what your missing. Mirrors are good, reversing sensors are good but a camera is like the air you breathe - don't think its that important till you realise its something very useful when its not around. Want to fit one to the work van. I hate blind spots.
  11. I thought the '86 had the same length arms as the '7x
  12. Use ke70 struts. The springs are narrower, that way you'll be able to run camber tops.
  13. L plates ? Ha. I think that vehicle ban on for P platers is only for the P platers, I've seen a fair few learners driving high performance vehicles. So whats the point of a ruling on what a P plater can and can not drive when some of them can get the experience in driving a high performance vehicle whilst on their learners.
  14. Damn it.... Guess i'm going to have to get off my lazy arse and find it
  15. My hoover board went missing on the 27th of this month. And i'm starting to wonder if it was this Marty McFly that took it :angrybird:
  16. Lol hopefully its not recycled or re-used.
  17. :hmm: I might have to pull my flagman out of the closet and take my steam engine for a run. Hopefully the local plod doesn't catch me reversing out of the driveway, since its the only way i can get the horseless carriage off my property. And i'll have to remember to keep the wireless down otherwise i could be done for political advertising even knowning that i'll be blasting out Fleetwood Mac  :dancetall: There's another one that deals with vehicles having to travel at walking pace (or something) around horses so not to spook them.
  18. Sounds like the Uni card at work. The uni students get one of these cards and put a minimum of $5 on it and they can "buy" things on campus.
  19. The very first gearbox that springs to mind where reverse is, would be the Datsun 180B SSS. Reverse is slightly dog-legged to the left where first normal is R 2 4 1 3 5 More of a racing box when you get down and think about it - how often would reverse and first be used.
  20. i have to give a SuperJamie thumbs up on that :jamie: :jamie: :jamie:
  21. More to the point - she's never driven a turbo diesel before.
