  1. hi wellcome to the club, doing worry too much. the sticker well give you 10kw power boost (right dan) nice to get WA rolla club member Chris
  2. i'm having tramp problems with my t18, i have a 4 link. so i google "axle tramp" from what i gather the problem is the wheels are putting too much ummm force/torque on the diff and it wants to turn around. this pushes the diff up and brakes traction and the shockies push the wheel down. and the cycle starts agian, so you get tramp. In a nut shell, the way to help is to have all nolathane rear end and stiffen up the leaf springs and get some new shockies. 4 link is a little more compelx, i got my head around it (i think) it is mostly about the angle of the links. a standard hight car is less likely to have tramp, because the links are at the right angles. If you lower it the angles are wrong and the axle can twist and then tramp. putting heveayer springs can mask it but will not stop tramp. droping the lower link bracket down so that the link bar is parallel agian will most often "do the trick" hope this helps if you have 2 cents to add go for it, i'm all ears (all eyes really) Thanks Chris
  3. hi boyz and girlz. was trying to show off to some some co-workers and Failed. (captial F for Fail) rather than a nice burnout, all i got was axle tramp!!! i have google it and i'm happy with the answer. has any one else had a 4 point link diff bounce like "honeymooners bed springs" thanks Chris
  4. i may have found one, but i'll have to save up for it. i don't have $1,800 hanging about well, piss poor mods till then.
  5. holy crap, who's nanna did kill to get that? that looks overrated!!! if you do end up cutting her up, can i put dibs on the pedel box you could "US" it up and go for a T series engine. (opening bag) the T series have more torque and power. convert her into a TE21. looks sweet Chris
  6. sorry the title is wrong , it is ment to read "who's " poxy english
  7. hi boyz, i'm getting a little sad, a little lonely and very bored. so i was thinking has any one got more toyota manuals than me? so i took a picture of the ones i can find (i'm sure i have more) i'm cleaning up my engine hoard, and i'll post that soon. but books for now
  8. what did you do to yours? if luck holds out, i'll never crash my T18. yet to damage some one else's car i have only ever backed a trailer into my own KE70, yet to drop a bike too.(i think i ride like a muppet) well i getting bored with the 3t-c and i'm looking for A "G" to convert. any one got a 3tgte having about??
  9. about fifthteen min or so. this easyer (in my mine) you can just undo the clutch slave and move it to one side, so you don't need to get into the car to pull out the clutch cable. and you only need one 14mm and one 17mm. To pull the seal at the back of the T50, i used circlip pliers. To pull it back again i uesd an old thrust bearing (if it works, it works) i'm putting the stereo in today (not to flash) it's just an old Pioneer head unit with Pioneer 6x9s in the rear, and the standard speakers in the front (have to save up to get something better)
  10. hi boyz, well i'm thinking about doing a brake and engine upgrade for my ke20. the thing is, to get the 3t regoed i need to upgrage the brakes. i have a got a t18 diff with 9" drums and i got struts from most models. so i was going to change it over to t18 booster system. but i was told that "if you have a booster installed and a 3t that the carby will hit it". can any one give me a yes or no on this one? thanks Chris
  11. well, i pulled the Gearbox out yesterday. and i must say "dam is a t50 easyer to pull out than a k50" i guess a picture talks for it self "the brass is shiny cos it was rubbing on steel" i'll use up to room on this post "the bike is a gpx250 btw" i'll looking for doors and a hood, but i have a number on my mb. but this guy works away and it will be a few more weeks till he gets home ;)
  12. well i under estimate the work on the car :) it is all easy to do  but a pain in the arse. I had to replace the front struts (the kyb struts i just bought for the ke70 grrrrr) then i bled the brakes and the rear slaves burst!!! so i replace them. then the master started to leak, so i serviced the hole frik'n brake system. now the clutch master is leaking, so i have to replace the master and slave. as service kits are not available. plus the t50 is leaking out the arse end so i will have to replace the $3.50 seal with a $45 tool :) (at least i'll have the tools for nexted time) perfomance wise i'm only going half arsed. i'm thinking about puting a 2t head with twin spings on my "cheap arse rebuild" then put a 32/36 weber on and a mild cam. well, thank for reading my bitching (big shout out to lappy) Chris
  13. hi boyz, i guess the title says most of what i need to say. i took a look at this car thinking of a parts car, BUT I bought it for a daily driver. my kids want to me to call it "Vash the Stampede" i have some plans but i sure no one really cares so thanks chris
  14. hi, welcome to perth. a few questions are you north or south of the river? do you have a model in mind? "this quokka is the best trading post ever" i have always got what i want out of its golden pages i'll post some pics of the t18 i just got out of the quokka. chris
  15. if you goolge KYB and go on to the US site you can get a listing for as far back as 75, but i THINK that the struts are the same though the series. ring the number and ask someone if you have any more questions 1300 554 059. i got KYB front and rear shocks for 300 for the ke70. and thats in PERTH i'm changing the struts on the ke70 and i have a set of ke20 hanging around i'll have a look at mine, soon if you can hang out for a while i may be able to help, but ring the number if you are in a hurry. chris
  16. i like your style, it would help to have a mill and a butt load of tools. do you know anyone that can weld alloy?cos you might want to make some new friends.
  17. hi boyz, i'm looking for a carby to run on my 3t-c. i have pulled all to junk off engine. (ftw, it was f**ked when i got here) the carby needs to be simple (so i can get me head around it) i was thinking about a Weber 32/36 DGV. but i'm open to ideas that are cheap. if any one has a weber jetted for a 3t, can you throw me a bone thanks chris
  18. hi boyz, i was looking for a panel beater, and i thought that some one might have a mate that does panel beating. and i thought it could be a good idea to trade contacts, and prehaps a list of skill that you have. well let me know boys thanks chris
  19. two words: carby cleaner, that stuff is good for everthing; moving rust, striping paint and frick'n mace!!! i got a face full, and dam that stuff will take any sucker down. and if that does not stop them, tell them that you have lighter :(
  20. ok, well i have a diffrent toughts on that. when you burn gases with O2 you get these temps Acetylene 5590 F Propane 4580 F MAPP 5300 F Natural Gas 4600 F Hydrogen 4820 F and the melting point of steel is 2750°F so if you are to burn straght O2/ fuel get ready for a real BIG bang. p.s. my metal work teacher was always concerned about oil coming in contact with compress O2 , even bigger bang!!! it will spontanisly combust
