  2. The red T18. Liz drives daily. replaced struts, brakes and clutch when we got her. Still needs a few more bits and pieces done but am getting there. I love to drive it great view i think. Nothing to ubstruct it. :jamie: The KE70. Chris's driver. Chris had replace, and re-replaced the engine a few times (3) Has/had wedders. has extractors with a straight through exhaust changed the springs and struts Replaced headlights and put a passenger side mirror. Has a tacko now (is a cs, not a cs-x) done lots of mainenance on it. ATM has a KE20 carbi and intake manifold.
  3. what gen was the engine? i found a web site that had a side by side compair of a 4age 20v and a 3sge. and it looked "do able". looks of custom stuff is needed. i'll look into it some more
  4. chris is putting this into the KE70.
  5. thanks for the info. i'll post my findings the converts looks about as hard as 20v so i might give this one a go.

  7. the T18 has tappered springs in the front with and 124mm id top and 75mm id bottom. rear straght 106mm id. ground top with a 12mm gap on the bottom. and i want white line coz they are better than most everything i've seen.
  8. hi boyz, i'm looking to lower my T18. i want to use white line springs, but i can't get a listing. has any one gotta part number? thanks Chris
  9. sorry i'll have to pm the pics coz it wont let my post them. liz
  10. hiya. the best manual to get for the Ke70 is the offical toyota one. you can pick them up off ebay or you can pm me as i have one that i am willing to sell. Liz
  11. Hiya all. Chris was reading this and thought i might like to share my rolla story with ya all. I got my lovely Ke70 for my 21 from Chris. we had a datsun bluebird wagon, wich i could no longer drive due to knee and back problems. so he got me my sister in laws rolla. she paid $3000 and spent a few more to do bits a pieces, needless to say she got ripped of coz she is the "padantic woman driver" ( Chris just told me she spent $1500 to find out what a noise was that was her changing gears to early LOL mind you we got her to get a newer rolla) and we only paid $1600 5 years ago. A girl suffering from depression and anxiety disorders, i grew to love and adore these cars and love to work on them all because of my Ke70, wich i have now given to Chris and Taken the T-18, as i have better pedal control with my knees and a better ride hight for my back as well as i can lock the kids in the back lol :2thumbs: We have done so much to the 70. Changed engine after engine, missed maitenance and chris has even taught me how to drive in this car. ( he made me get my licence @ 18 but i didnt drive. I went on my first rugging it camping in this car and even having my two babies having this car. it is very special and i will never want a different car than a rolla. (they go and go and go and go and go and go i hope that i can give it to alex when he is old enough, he is almost 5 so what 11 years) Liz
  12. do you have a budget? if you want, you could run down to "spot light" and get fake fur to put on every thing. bed sheats make a good back seat cover. and lots of gliter for that shimer. white wall tyres. house paint works shoe polish flames line your glove box and fill it with ice, then you have a drink cooler cover your lights with black plastic for that "mean" look put some speakers every where. get an old phone and put it in the car
  13. i got some out of an AE71 sprit that i wrecked, real nice seats. deep and tight with lots of in and out bits (just how i like them) :2thumbs: if you want like post some pic
  14. hi sam what are you after? i may be able to help, i have an ae71 with all the parts that you'll need. can you tell us some more details. give me a yell if you want Chris
  15. polution system = POWER LOSE remove all trace of any thing on the engine. make it look like did not have a polution system to start with. weber it up with a 32/36, check out the faq for jetting
  16. works great. start motor trouble over. Chris
  17. hi boyz i am having trouble with my starter motor. so i bought a AE71 for parts, hoping that the starter where the same. the starts are diffrent but only just. see pic the only diffrents is the angle of the bolt housing. other than that the rest is the same so i swaped it over, i'll try it out tommorrow hope this helps some one else too. Chris
  18. well, the T18 "Hannya" is back on the road. the diff was a 3.727, the speedo is out by 3 kmh at 60kmh and 5kmh at 100kmh the vin reads T302, if the faq are right that would be 3.727 seams right that sway bar makes a hell of a differents :( handles nice. when i get the whiteline springs it should be nicer. i'm thinking to correct the speedo i'll put bigger wheels on. LoL well, it cost me 99 buck for a new master cyl, and that was below trade. so much for a cheap ride.
  19. can't you use a madza diff out of a series 1 or 2. and they have the right stud patten :P just thinking out loud
  20. yes that right, i did not see the problem with the swap. the origanl ratio was 3.(7.8) and i swaped it to a 3.9 "fell free to offer your 2 cents" but on a different note, why must i always fail :P the brakes are pulling my chain still. the brake master is sucking air big time. when the brake is pushed nothing happens, but then let it off and air bubbles come out in the fluid return. this happend with the AE71 master too. i guess i'll have to explore and discover the problem. (and i was so looking forward to driving her to work)
  21. i have an AE71 and a late model KE70, the drive lines are diffrent bar the diff. the AE71 also came out as re-circulating ball steering and a rack and pinion. internally depending on models they can be identical.
  22. i got an AE71 sprit for parts, gotta love the quokka. here are some pics before i started at her i change the diff over, rather than cut it up. this made other problems, the BW diff is about 20mm longer so the tail shaft was too short. so i had to get the tail shaft out of a ke70. this worked but the brakes a now playing up again. :D the rain was so hard that i had to give up for today, but i'll have it sorted out tomorrow. i'm thinking about whiteline springs, gonna sell parts for the AE71 to get the funds. so i'll have a T50 and a few other bits and peices for sale
  23. how major is "magor",sound fair i service my rolla in my carport for oil question that is a "can of worms" i use castrol 20/50 but i don't think it is that good. you can use the new sin range 0/30w but if your rolla leaks it will leak out quicker where abouts are you in perth? north or south will do
  24. hahaha your right, i should read my posts better, well any one else got 2 cents?
  25. i was out today give'n it some, and the T18 was a bit "like a wet spung" and later i was out in my KE70 and it out handled the T18 easyly. "BAD BOY" i have slow points around my house and i use them to test out my suspension. the Ke70 was about 10km fastest. i was a bit puzzeled till i had a look at the arse ends of both cars. here is the T18 with out the stabliser bar and the ke70 with a stabliser bar so i'm looking around for a doner 1983-4 KE70 (i think the early model lights look like sad eyes, so i want to change them to later model ones) on the plus side the T18 has the holes for the houseings and all i have to bolt it in and weld a small braket to the diff. all i need is the doner at a good price.
