There's a difference between possible and worthwhile. For the amount of custom work needed (engine mounts, gearbox which will most likely facilitate different CVs, wiring, computer, intake/exhaust, basically anything to do with the engine bay) you might as well pick a better engine, or keep it in the Toyota stable to minimise compatability issues. Whilst a CA18 would be different, you'd be getting no better results than a 4AGE or 3SGTE, both of which can provide you with an excellent amount of information on the conversion so you won't run into too many troubles.
Golden rule of engine conversions is "Don't put an unusual engine in a car just because you have one lying around, unless you are made of time and money". If you could somehow get a FWD gearbox/bellhousing to suit, you could probably fit a V8 in there (like a 1UZ), doesn't mean you should.
