  1. Which in NSW would easily be double that. NSW number plate fees are ridiculously high.
  2. IN 05 NT's member profile GU11TY's member profile JU57CE's member profile
  3. SAABs are FWD....they just might happen to have a RWD-style offset. These days FWD and RWD have very similar offsets, its only when you go back and look at older cars that there is a significant difference between the two.
  4. Which makes them not coilovers......kinda hard to have coil-over-shock when they are separate Really all you are getting is just height-adjustable springs, and maybe rate-adjustable shocks
  5. So basically the same as every other modded van and ute out there. I just don't get that style sometimes, commerical truck/van engines do NOT sound good with a cannon - now I know a 3RZ can sound good, but it takes a lot more than just a different muffler.
  6. There're a bunch of guys on Toymods who have Innocent, Guilty and Justice numberplates Can't remember the exact make-up, but it was fairly obvious what they were saying
  7. White AE71 panno? If so, it's a 1JZ, basically just turned the 'khana into a burnout/skidpan :hammer: Whereabouts in the park were you? We were up the end near the camp kitchen, next to a Morris Minor woody ute towing a 50s folding caravan, 'twas awesome.
  8. Thats how my parents use theirs. Only got their first credit card a year or two ago, but they've had bank-cards for years, and they've always been paid off within the interest-free period. Don't even think my parents have been in debt of any kind (including credit) since they paid off the house back in the late 70s
  9. Due to the complete and utter lack of any other kind of muffler (or even a cat or hotdog), yes it sounded heaps better than a fart cannon-equiped shitbox Lancer/Excel. Best thing was that it'd often crackle/pop on the over-run or under engine braking Being a relatively small cannon probably helped I've got a video of it running around somewhere, I'll try and find it
  10. I've seen people transport them over the border via golf-club. Basically set one up on a tee, and then bash the living (soon to be dead) daylights out of it with a 9.5 degree driver. It's polite to yell "TOAD" if it's going to land near the players in front as well.
  11. None of the GZEs have TVIS, even the bigport ones....
  12. Which is why I think more businesses should adopt doona-days.
  13. Which is why I can't wait until I go full time, but the company needs to make money first and we're all getting sick of being on stop-credit with most of our suppliers.
  14. WGMG - most times when I open web-pages at work, they come up saying "page could not be found" or the like. Refresh, and everything is all normal. However, Rollaclub usually doesn't work. It'll keep saying "page not found" unless I let it sit about 10 minutes before refreshing WAlsoGMG - drawing changes. Grrrrrr, I finalised that guard weeks ago, all signed off and entered into the system, then this morning it gets dumped on my desk with a new bend added and one of the slots removed, to "accommodate variances in frames".......grrrrrrr
  15. From what I've seen, people have NO trouble whatsoever finding wheels for Excels.....they just always seem to be BFFO (Big Fat F*ck Off) chromies to match the twin fart cannons and stupid bodykit.
  16. '97-'98 ones are carby, '99-'03 ones are EFI (according to Redbook) Superficially they look the same though, so might have to go delving to find out which is which at the wreckers etc...
  17. 7 hours sleep is pretty good, probably more than I get every night. Sunday was fun day for me, went to bed around 12, g/f got home about 2:30, woke up around 3:00 paranoid that my phone wouldn't change over to AEST and thus stuff up my alarm, so had to set my watch (which wouldn't automatically change) alarm to go off an hour later as a back-up. Wake up at 4:30, drive down to Sydney for an Old-Pac run to a dyno day back up past Newcastle, then go home and spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning the house. Was going alright 'till about 8:30, then I absolutely collapsed.
  18. Pretty sure Bunnings stock or can get in Tremco products. I was looking into it at one stage for the KE55.
  19. Just borrow someone else's phone, and re-trace your steps continually ringing it  Thats how I always find my phone
  20. I think he was implying that the Cosworth came first, and the 4AGE was based off it, therefore the 4AGE is a 1.6L Cossy. Other way around implies that the 4A came first, which it didn't. Although actually, the 4A is supposedly based off the BDA (Belt-Driven A-series, which is based off the Kent), which is a 1.6L. The Cossy most people refer to is the 2.0L YB, which is based off the Pinto anyway.
  21. Find another KE in the wreckers (should be a couple), see if any of them are missing manifolds...
  22. Spray up inside the knob with WD40, get a rubber glove or something that has better grip, use vice-grips/pliers/adjustable-spanner (around a towel or something so it doesn't scratch) etc, all will work eventually, the gear knob just seizes up a bit if it hasn't been removed for ages. I remember when I took the knob off in my AE102 that it was stuck so hard I actually lifted the vinyl off the frame, so I was still left with a gear-knob stuck on except it was hard white plastic instead of padded grey vinyl...
  23. Metric male threads are classified from tip-to-tip diameter (ie taking the thread height into account). So an M12 will be overall outside diameter of 12mm (a female thread will have an inner diameter of roughly 10.2mm, as they are classified from root-to-root diameter). M8 male will be 8mm, M8 female about 6.8mm.
  24. Pfft, dropping like flies
