  1. He got it right though when he started using the Spanish accent (it is a Spanish name, means the Bat)
  2. Extra advanve will only make it go better if you up the octane rating of the petrol to match. Agreed on just sticking to the specs though, they're set for a reason.
  3. Most of them weren't rotary though....
  4. Looks like a Fiat 124, so I'll say Lada/AutoVAZ VAZ-2101
  5. Official name was the 181, or "Kurierwagen"
  6. And if he can't take a harmless joke then he'll have an even harder time. One key thing to growing up is being able to look back on your mistakes and laugh.
  7. The 2T comes with a T50, no such thing as a T52. However, there are two different T50s, with different numbers of splines on the output shaft (20 and 22), one type came out behind the 4AC/4AGE, and the other came out behind the 2T, and I'm pretty certain they aren't compatible. Plenty of info running around here and Toymods about which is which, some searching would do you good.
  8. I think you mean the AE95 Corolla 4WD, AL25 Tercel would be next to useless as far as running gear goes And the AE95 gear is also pretty useless, the whole rear suspension setup is different.
  9. Could possibly be the distributor leaking oil onto the exhaust too, that's a very common problem on 4AGEs, the seals on the dizzy shaft go (fairly simply fix too if you know what you're doing)
  10. BMW 5-series is too easy, so I'm saying Alpina B10?
  11. Brabham, not an Alfa :P (although it had an Alfa engine, it wasn't a factory team) Designed by the guy who did the McLaren F1 too
  12. Too busy/lazy to come up with a hard one, someone should get this pretty quickly What is this car, who drove it, and why is it so significant?
  13. Vauxhall Droopsnout Firenza (also known as the HPF) Avon Safety Wheels give it away, as does the nose
  14. You certain it's not firing? As in no spark? If the leads, plugs and points have been done then the dizzy cap is probably the only possibility left.
  15. Which is why I think that there is a leak/evaporation problem, it has to be going somewhere....unless somehow it's going into the coolant or oil
  16. Could be, would be pissing black smoke though. Although cold-start only adds the extra cold-start injector, not more fuel from the main 4.
  17. Doubt just the air-temp sensor alone would cause that drastic fuel consumption, for a long time I was running the AE82 TC without an air-temp sensor at all and it's fuel consumption was only around 8L/100km. AFRs were rich on the dyno, but only around 11:1.
  18. I was saying that they aren't a bike head, nor are they designed like a bike head in general, but it should be hardly surprising that they share some common features with some Yamaha bike heads seeing as how Yamaha designed it. It would be like Ducati designing a head for a road car and using desmodromic valves - it's their signature but not a feature unique to bikes (incredibly rare these days though). If you get what I mean.....
  19. No relation, just similar age and similar technology - most pushrod non-crossflow inline 4s will look similar.
  20. If you're using 50L in 150km (thats over 30L/100km), it has to be going SOMEWHERE. If it is being burnt, then you'd notice a _lot_ of black smoke (rear bumper would probably be covered in soot too). AFRs would be stupidly rich, too. Check the O2 sensor, even get it dynoed to see power and AFRs. If they are fine, and the O2 sensor is fine, then about the only think I can think of is that it is leaking somewhere, or evaporating somehow.
  21. Classifieds, forums, eBay, anywhere that you'd find car parts (wreckers will be pretty unlikely though, as the GZE was an import-only engine)
  22. What is your idle like when the air-con is off? (Note I'm assuming you've got a smallport 16v 4AGE) When you turn the air-con on, there should be an idle-up valve that opens to let an extra amount of air past the throttle body to take into account the extra load of the air-con compressor - this valve could be sticking or otherwise not functional As for the fuel consumption, how many litres are you going through (also assuming fuel gauge is accurate)? Do you blow excessive amounts of black smoke when driving? Does the car feel sluggish or otherwise under-powered? Are the spark plugs fouled? Is your oxygen sensor reading correctly? As you have a pod, are there sensors or valves which have been removed from the intake? Best thing to do is get your hands on a 4AGE diagnostics manual, do a diagnostics check on the car (bypassing the TE1 and E1 pins in the diagnostics plug with a paper-clip and then counting the flashes of the Check Engine Light on the dashboard) and see what that tells you first.
  23. Engine wouldn't change anything, it'd only be gearbox/diff/tyres, or the speedo cable/meter itself
