All cars sold through a dealership have a 30 day statutory warranty period covering RWC items.... I would HIGHLY advise that RACQ check and even a friendly visit to the DOT pits because it sounds like you are being thoroughly f*cked over. If the checks turn up multiple RWC faults... I would suggest returning to the dealer and demanding your money back. You have that right should you wish to exercise it. (And I dare say they'd much rather take the car back than have the office of fair trading paying them a visit)

Unfortunately you're right, that panel forms part of the bodyshell and is tack welded to the frame, along with the rear valance and taillight panel. No easy way to fix up the dreaded tinworm in these things, you'll have to go old school cut n shut with new metal, effectively making your own replacement sections as you go. Best of luck. :sob:

This ^^^ is why I only buy cheap nasty chinese DVD players. They play anything. NTSC, PAL, SECAM, any region, any file format, divx, mpeg, iso, whatever. Just chuck it in, and it plays. The obvious downside is they shit themselves in 6 months in an anticlimactic display of communist failure, so there's always going to be a few days between movies while you wait for your brand new replacement $29 player to arrive from Shenyang province.
