  5. Ok guys I finally got off my backside and have put together a cruise for next month. After consulting some of the Funkytown boys on possible meet points and cruise routes (thanks weber4x48 and kickin5k) I have come up with a cruise route that will include some twisties and some straight roads with nice scenery. When : Sunday the 8th of August. 10 am meet up for 10:30 am departure. Where : Meeting at the BP servo/McDonalds/Red Rooster along Westernport Hwy on the corner of Thompsons Rd, Cranbourne West. Basically we will meet up here where there is plenty of parking and follow the hwy until the end. From there we will continue through Bittern and Hastings through to the Arthurs Seat Lookout. Here we will park for some photos and a quick chat. From here we will make a run down Arthurs Seat and back up again (not shown on the google maps cruise route) and continue through along some backroads that have nice scenery and eventually some nice turns (Boneo Rd). We will leisurely continue from there along Point Nepean Rd through to Sorrento for lunch. There are many places to chose from here catering to all tastes. People wanting to leave early may do so from here at whatever time is conveniant for them. Optional return will be to go back following Point Nepean Road and eventually along The Esplanade which for those of you who don't know is a mini, less intense Great Ocean Road that we will follow until Mornington. From here we can depart ways offering routes to the Moorooduk Hwy (leads onto Eastlink) or via the Nepean Hwy. Cruise Route Expect a responsible pace on this cruise as it will be on a weekend on roads that Police normally target and have a presence on. I will also put this cruise up on Toymods and TOCAU so we should get some decent numbers. Cheers Matt. 8. Ok Nobs no problemo. Seeing as you have fired up some interest i shall get the ball rolling this Sunday so keep an eye on the forums. I'm thinking first weekend in August for the Arthurs Seat run :P Keep posting ideas and i'll put something together for Sunday! Matt.
  9. Lol finally it makes sense! I was wondering why you said an 'ke10' was spotted but I was too dumb to click.

  15. Looking good nobs :hmm:
  16. No updates Josh, just driving round and enjoying graham pretty much. Cleaned up the boot last week and fitted a starter motor relay not long ago but that's about it. Next time i'm out taking photos i'll upload some engine bay shots :hmm:
  17. Thanks mate, they car is slowly but surely getting there.
  18. UPDATE Made plenty of progress today. The old man fitted removed the dummy fitted gearbox and fitted the clutch while i got stuck into some fiddly bits. With the gearbox refiited I sorted out the center console which proved to be a little more complicated than i thought. Ended up cutting and die grinding it so that the shifter would clear when in 1st, 3rd or 5th gears. Also sorted out the rubber boot and dust shield as they were mis-matched to the size of the shifter. All in all a good day of progress. Still no word on when my diff comes back though :hmm: The cutout goes unnoticed unless you are told about it which i'm pretty happy with.
  19. Haha awesome. Happy birthday Josh, sounded like it was a great birthday to me :hmm:
  20. Hrmmmmmmm :hmm:
  21. Nice, Stanceworks much?
  22. Congrats on scoring that elusive tailgate Josh. Really happy you found a condition one and for a decent price. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Onwards and forwards mate!
  23. I've spoken to the franga boys and i'm keen to organise a cruise Arthurs Seat way mid July. Let me know what you think.
