  1. Fixed, so you and myself don't feel so old. I had one of them until I saved all my b'day money over a couple of years and bought a Leigh Ralph pro model. Spewing I sold all that stuff, perfect condition and unmounted decks of that era sell for over $1k!!! Come to think about it WGMG! Selling my Leigh Ralph pro mod skateboard and my Mongoose Californian for about $50 each when I was young!!!
  2. They were "normal" sized boards in the 70's and early 80's.
  3. Those momo carbys are the best, make 50% more power that any EFI!!
  4. Cheers Jono. Wasn't sure. It looks well built, really like the caliper brackets.
  5. Nah not my car. When I'd just left high school many, many, many moons ago. 1X's were quite plentiful back then. Still not fun.
  6. Yep. Yep. And yep!!!! Has anyone with twins noticed their lumpiness at idle increases as the carbs fall out of sync?? Happened maybe twice in the two years I had the su's on my 5k. I pretty much had the same setup as "altezzaclub" I think my carbs were bigger though. When the sync between the two was right it idled like a STD 5k.
  7. Going backwards at 60km in a ke-1x isn't funny I can tell you that!!!!
  8. So is that a pair of calipers for the rear(foot) brakes and a pair for the hand brake? Looks interesting!!
  9. That and I don't think it would sound as cool either. Maybe I wouldn't then. :)
  10. Hahaha I think a bonnet would be the least of my worries!!! I'd still 2J it though. Probably make the same power as that temperamental boat anchor!!!
  11. That will help a little, it will stop it from "popping" at the tail pipe at idle. Take it and get it dyno tuned it might just be a bit rich at idle, leaning it off a bit will also help. Last resort would be setting idle speed a touch higher to smooth it out.
  12. I if only I could get that reg'd!! :)
  13. It's got a Garrett GT28-76 on it. I haven't looked at the compressor maps for that turbo since it was put on about 12 months ago. From memory though, that's about as much as it will make. Seeing as the turbo is rated at 440hp and IF the engine made 100% volumetric efficiency(4A = 100ci = 100hp) it should make 540-550hp MAX. The engine itself isn't anything super special either. STD GZE block and bigport head, custom forged pistons, spool conrods, cometic MLS head gasket, arp head and main studs and stupidly huge cams(only specs I was able to get was the 312deg duration). I was fairly reluctant to fit the cams, but that's what the owner had and wanted fitted, they do seem to work quite well though. We have been thinking it might be the most powerful 98 premium fuel 4A in AUS. But not too sure.
  14. Not with a 10,000rpm redline. The 16V I look after for a good mate of mine makes 510hp at the crank(on an engine dyno) and 302rwkw on a chassis dyno. Loves 32psi and I'd be thinking less than a third of the budget. All on 98ron premium fuel!!!!
  15. ^ why only 400hp??
  16. For your spacer gasket, try "weber performance" In mordialloc.
  17. Me three!! Oh I've also bought one copy of hot 4's it had two photos of my 11 at a dyne day in it. Good write up, the photos are fantastic. The elevated shot with Bruce's car would be my favorite.
  18. Coming along nicely!! P.S. Your going to love life, when that turbo gets into it's effciency range. If it's close to the 2876? It didn't see huge improvements in power until it got over 17-18psi on the 16V.
  19. Which is why you should be consulting an engineer before you even buy an engine!!!!!
  20. Ball bearing or nothing!!!!! I still think the gt25-60 is the way to go. But don't forget your only a handbrake and a couple of maccas trays away from drifting!! ;)
  21. This is to fit your incorrect grille ke-10b?
  22. What about Z18 turbo?
  23. So do I!! Such a shame about the roof. Are the transport company paying for repairs?
  24. You have got to love a good grave dig. And thank you for pointing out RC's "hardest to understand sentence of the day!" fixed. :)
  25. WGMG - the panel beaters that are apparently fixing my ute!!! I didn't want to take it there in the first place, but that's what insurance wanted!!! It's so far out of my way it's not funny!! So it only needed a front bar skin fitted they had it all day Friday to check what it needed, or so I thought. Dropped it of a 7am this morning "I'll need it for 4hrs" then get a phone call "it's bent a chassis rail" WTF!?!? It scuffed the front bar I hit the guys ute at no more than 5km/h and they'd checked it Friday!!!! I can't see how it's bent a rail, for starters the airbags didn't go off, the intercooler wasn't touched and the bar reinforcement isn't damaged!! Lazy beggars is what I'm thinking, wouldn't of happened if I'd taken it where I wanted in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
