  1. Ah I also drove this and considered buying it, cool little car. If you ever want to sell those Watanabes I could be keen
  2. Seen this on ebay, looked pretty clean. Reminds me alot of my first rolla, but alot cleaner

Very true, however that does work in their favour. too many guys are buying KE70s now as cheap 'dr1fterz'. half of them rock cut springs, bald stockies on rear and make the legit guys look bad. Those guys aren't gonna pay so much for a 'shitty 1.6-litre' AE86 when they can just buy their VL Turbo for the same price which will do bigger skids and does. sick Agreed Tally, not really something I wanna get into too much here in the spotted thread. Cheers, Ben.

    Roo's Ke20

yeah Josh's looks okay, but they're Globes :bash: jks I just mean personally I think 14's belong on KE70s, AE86s. I would run 13s seeing as the older Corollas are just that much smaller (and run 155/80R12 vs 155/80R13). If you're rolling on wheels bigger than stock rolling diameter you're doing it wrong Btw Roo did you buy those nos corner garnishes from Phils Rotary's (on ebay)? Cheers, Ben.

    Roo's Ke20

Hmm yeah you should see my MK2s, they're the same. 14s wouldn't look right on a KE20 imo. too large

    Roo's Ke20

Scott is right in saying no white walls. no question Don't go 185/60 with a 13x7 on a KE20. thats a pretty big tyre really. biggest I would go is 175/60 like RA28GT has, I find that even too big and brown is THE ONLY colour this car should be Cheers, Ben.

What! is wrong with AE86's? They don't really have any of the 'problems' KE70s have, due to their high price

    Roo's Ke20

Small tyre guide From what I have heard the Nankang 165/55's are pretty good. I'm not sure which of the two he used though The Yokohama 175/50's are great, especially those A048 semi-slicks. Wear could be an issue on the street with semi slicks though haha I wouldn't run bigger than either of those if you want those wheels in the guards without too much work. Should only need a roll of the inner lips Cheers, Ben.
  9. Covers :bash: I have the same in the shed which have been in a few cars lol

    Roo's Ke20

small yes, but that would most likely have those wheels sitting alot better, and you can get some decent tyres in that size. I will be getting some for my daily when I can find some 13x5.5/6" rims You can get some very good 175/50 tyres Oh and you do realise that by shortening the lcas you will decrease camber with could make them wheels fit even worse Cheers, Ben.

    Roo's Ke20

    Go 165/55 Roo
  12. I had to work today so couldn't make it down there Sad thing is apparantly even after the massive turnout today (>3500? I heard) it will still most likely not be happening anytime soon :bash:
  13. Looks better with black wheels, whitewalls will make this. I did like the visor though ;) haha Shouldn't be too hard to find a KE20 mirror, otherwise some Mazda 1300/808 etc mirrors are pretty similar Cheers, Ben.
  14. I have 13x8 -13 MK2 and 13x8 -7 MK1 which I had on my KE70 with 175/60 tyres Sat so very good, and was by far the best looking and handling car I have owned thus far. ground clearance to crossmember was just under 30mm which was a little inpractical though haha. Guards were just on tyre front and rear, front wheels (-13s)only poked 5mm from my rolled guards with tyre just in, rears were flush (could've done with a 5mm spacer but due to the design of the MK1s it wasn't really possible). Sorry I got no pics handy atm Luke I love that TE71 Nick posted up, needs to be a tad lower though. From memory that dude has an enviable collection of 13s. Cheers, Ben.
  15. I love KE-355, such a well built Corolla. although I prefer the look of the Convo Pro's over the current billet wheels (20x10 on rear lol) Dude can drive too, thing pulls a mean skid. I have a vid of it swinging the dirt both sides of the front straight like a pendulum during a powerskid
  16. Yeah I wouldn't worry about the legality of 'whitewalls' Cops look at these cars and appreciate them, especially something as clean as this. Many a cop has gone over my previous cars with nothing being said about whitewalls. And as for oldschool guys, most of them run port-a-walls which added to the tyre, attached at the bead. This car looks very very clean, wish I kept mine a little longer just for some pics of the two. Cheers, Ben.
  17. Looks great man, sell it to me when you're done ey? I actually prefer 13s on her, should just chuck on some TA22 hubbies and whitewall them. MS65 hubbies are overdone Needs a chrome KE20 mirror :P Cheers, Ben.
  18. Haha I was taking taking the piss :y: I've always paid for my cars with cash, I can't imagine what else you would pay with?

Guessing you mean Henry's if so its a f@$king rad car
  25. As had already been said, if your tyres are bald and you can't afford new tyres don't drive. Its not worth risking your own life let alone everyone else on the road Anyway that was a while ago. The car looks better with the 17s, you still trying to swap this for something else or decided to keep it? Cheers, Ben.
