Well went to see how its all going today, At VIS Rotary, had a look at the motor and found why the engine would over heat alll the time... Confirmed water seal blown and water jacket on the end plate has a little damage but nothing that can't be fixed.. Other then that its all good :) Box is now at als, converter is going to slingshot to get loosened up and upped to 3800rpm.. Went to the paint shop where the car is, its all stripped ready for body work.. Attacked the rust on the roof and it isnt as bad as we thought but we are going to cut it out and weld a new piece in .. Been given a rough eta of 2-3 weeks and it will be painted..hopefully..

ok car has now gone into the shop and out of my hands...plan is mildported motor, new box from als race glides and body work and paint to be completed....Engine should be out this week and car rolled down to paint shop... Will be there on friday to get some pics :)

well been a while since ive updated this thread... Car has now been stripped and will be off to workshop to get new motor, rebuilt box and paint + panel.. Hopefully should have it back next year to hopefully run 10's

Also, number plates are an inside joke between mates....not actually regoed with em

well once again more dramas... Went to supernats on the weekend and had a bearing or bushing collapse in the gearbox, ʞ©$ɟ all damage tho...Car still drives, but there is a bit of movement in the rear of the box where the tailshaft goes in, you can grab the tailshaft and move it around in the rear housing.. Box will come out for further inspection at als race glides and whatever has failed will be fix, and a transbrake will be fitted :) also will be looking at getting the motor issue sorted some time in the next few weeks there will be a vid of a top gear skid coming soon

It's also pushing water out the overflow and not sucking it back in, and it has a new recovery rad cap on

yeah but whether the motor holds up is another thing altogether, found some condensation in the oil cap this morning, so not looking good atm

lol yeah...only thing is it wont run that quick when i do bracket racing because it takes so long to spool up..Desperately needs either gas or converter to spool up faster

Well another good night...first pass car was running rough down the track, found a ʞ©$ɟed spark plug lead... Seems that was the problem the whole time.. Repaired the lead and noticed the difference straight away, second pass went 11.59 113mph... Was stoked...3rd pass went 11.60 114mph.... Final pass was best of the night, 11.57 115mph

do you get to drive your car on the track?

lol yes! will be even better once the transbrake is in.....Just purchased a car trailer for it, spending the next few weeks getting it ready then will work on the car again...Will be going to supernats on the 8th of september
