    Im Here!

i think i might be the only north island rep..:lock:
  4. engine mounts. driveshaft. diff ? just for strength issues. should be fine using standard steering setup.
  5. what car is it going into ? sometimes you can modify the standard x member, you'l be fine running an aftermarket fuel pump, just have to re-route the fuel lines, can't tell you much else, because ya havent told us what car its going into. but id replace anything that can come easily - belts, plugs, filters etc.
  6. that'l buff right out, just a small scratch. :lock: :((
  7. nothing wrong with the army - i joined just after my 17th bday last year, going away on saturday for a 10day exercise - good fun :lock:
  8. i picked up some more manuals today, the one that suprises me most is the Air conditioning one, dated April 1978, so I'm assuming crowns etc came out with it ? got some more electrical books - another wiring diagram book, and 2 on ignition/starter/alternator. when my KE20 arrives, I'm thinking i might use my 4K-E setup on that, while i finish the KE30 bodywork. mines not quite as bling as Medicine Man's though :lock:
  9. i demand pics, this seems like one phat corona. whats the power output ?
  10. sounds good dude, have you run the fuel injection setup before ? is there much difference in performance etc of the standard carb setup ?
  11. nice, are you setting it up for a turbo application or just n/a injection ?
  12. looking good :insane: are you using the polished intake runners and the standard throttle body ?
  13. rahh, bout time i put some stuff up. Nick = z|gen Name = David Car(s) = 1977 Toyota Corolla (KE30), 1974 Toyota Corolla (KE20), 1986 Toyota Corolla (AE82). Pics. 14. heh..rollaclub geography trip to canada :insane:
  15. well..toronto is near detroit, buffolo, and new york, I'm pretty sure - like a few hundred kms away, and calgary is in alberta i think, which is another few hundred kms away over the border... toronta is in the state of ontario, borders the U.S and quebec alberta borders british coloumbia and the north west. http://atlas.gc.ca/site/english/maps/refer...tical_e/map.jpg
  16. man..compared to nz, your country is fricken huge, it takes like 2 days, if that to drive one end of our country to the other :insane: :D what size engine is in your corolla, 1.8l or a 1.6l?
  17. thats a nice looking car man, anyway, I'm from the land of the long white cloud (new zealand - and no its not a fricken state in america) we get snow here in winter - mostly in the south island and central north island, but not like you do :insane:
  18. ermm, probably best to buy a new block, and since they are piss easy to find in NZ, it will work out cheaper than getting it repaired.
  19. lol..i know warwick, i bought my lowering kit for my KE30 through him, and il eventually get around to buying a complete gasket set for the 4K-E off him, iv already got the setup..just want some spares :insane: btw - as of next thursday, il also be working in the service department as technician for toyota..
  20. lol..well, il have a look for ya, i know if i find one id be able to get a bit of dollars fromt various people for the original, but I'm happy to photocopy it for free and send it a few thousand kms over the ditch :insane: on a sidenote, i don't suppose you know of any 4K-E parts up for sale over there ? or could possiblty know of someone who is willing to send some stuff over ?
  21. well, if i find one, would you be happy for a free photocopy of it ?:insane:
  22. ok..bad news - i have spoken to some people, and there officially no starlet manuals that they know of in suitable condition, but they are out there. good news - i picked myself up the 4K-C Emission Control repair manual today - dated august 1978, relating to the KE55 and KE38 vehicles and also the service training manual for the KE70's (i can hear you all going WTF is that?:insane:) - its the manual which shows the differences they made from the KE30's, it has the wheelbase specs, interior and luggage space, the fuel and power specs, model code and meaning specs, steering specs, electrical pinouts, and even what countries got the corrosion prevention. il keep having a look for manuals, as i like to increase my library :D
  23. i don't think they are a boost controller, but with most aftermarket wastegates that have screws, means its adjustible in the sense of when it releases the pressure(rpm), or whether you turn them on or off ?
  24. inner out outer cv joint ? easiest thing to do is remove the driveshaft from the gearbox and the just get a bfh and just hit them off. worked for me anyway :greenbounce:
  25. meh..i don't like the gregorys or haynes manuals - only genuine for me :greenbounce: il have a chat to some people over the next week and see what i find out.
