It just says all this crap about my car and what it has and then asks what engine i should put in it - 12a, 13b, 4age, 4agze, 18rc??? or some crap.... then it says - money is no problem and my name and town is signed below.... the answer is crap - they say, rotors don't do it for me, get the 4agze they make 100kw and will make it fly..... F**ken Crap......... Hot 4s Wankers.......

Browsing through a copy of my mate's Hot 4s magazine, i get to the Dirty Deeds section - where people write - in and ask questions about their ride. I get to about the fourth or fifth letter along and it seems that someone hasa similar car to me. As i get to the end i can't believe my eyes that the name on the bottom is MINE! Now although this sounds OK, its more than not! My problem here is that: - I HAVE NEVER EVER (and wouldnt want too) WRITE INTO HOT 4s.....! How could this happen? What should I do....? And to top things off, it makes me sound like a complete Wanker.....! All the details of my car are on rollaclub in my profile... So either someone has written in using my details (but what benefit would they get?) or Hot 4s are so CRAP that they didnt have enough content and went searching! Talk about PISSED OFF! :D

You just hook up your power, earth, lights, and then hook up the "green" wire to the positive side of the dizzy... It should actually have a + sign on the side you are meant to hook it up. If the needle starts to jump around like a phsyco child on mushrooms, then you need this special little gadget to go in between the green wire. (mine had this problem) :D

macca - interesting place to put the head unit... My head unit is in place of the original tape player - and it was a real c**t to get into and stabilize it in there....... Will be great when it is done.....!

Thanks for your help XANY, but ill just sit back and wait i think..... They are getting brand new ones...... They were guna change everything over to the 4k stuff, but its ust a hassle and they had it all right and nice until now.....

I have no idea how much they are charging me....... The boss is a friend of my fathers..... They are more or less just doing everything and just billing me for it, and if something changes or goes wring they just contact me and ask for permission more or less.... I'm not sure if they brought a 5k cam or just a k cam..... But they are not ripping me off or anything..... Just doing there best..! :thumbsup:

Thing is, they professionally build small capacity race engine! The cam is fine now, they got a new one from overseas and re ground that one...... Can you buy standard pushrods from say, REPCO? Looks to me like i could be tripping down this weekend.....! :thumbsup:

don't you think putting a larger head on a smaller black will make the compression lower and just run like a dirty little piggy???? Normally you would put a 3k head on a 4k block or even a 5k (dirty word) :thumbsup:

Well it all started on a nice journey, the engine shop was only going to take a month or two to get the 5k rebuild and worked etc..... 3 weeks ago, we were all set to get the engine back from the shop and jam it in the engine bay. That weekend i found out that the cam wasnt doing it thing and was too thin one end...! They said i could have it by the next weekend ( all going well ) and unfortunately they had more dramas and were forced to source a new one from overseas..... Now three weeks up until the present day, I'm all excited and ready for the engine to go in this weekend, got all the stuff lined up and all the mates :thumbsup: ** One hour ago i got a call from my father, the engine shop has busted three pushrods and they have searched all australia to find new ones..... Aparently they could only find five other 5k engines, but all were rooted too...... Forced by curses from me, they have ordered a new set from japan and will take.... get this - 4 WEEKS..... Bad Luck anyone???? =) ** After today, i feel for ya Nick.....

Just a query....... If you were to install a roll cage into your car, I'm guessing that you will need a engineers certificate to get it approved....??? Or is there a law stating that you cannot have a rollcage in a road registered vehicle?? But i can't see why not, HELL, it is safer...... * Not that i am planning to ROLL my car....
