  1. Hi Guys, I undertook this process a few weeks back for my Ke25. I had it shipped from Gold Coast (door) to Sydney (door). I had to call a heap of places to try and find one who could ship the car. The problem was the ke25 was just a rolling shell. It had no working brakes (no handbrake either), no seats and also there was a heap of spares chucked in the cabin. Thankfully I found this company: Openica Transport http://www.opsl.com.au/ It cost me $850 inc GST and only took 2 days to be delivered (they quoted 1 week originally). Now, I know a lot of companies can ship working cars and are pretty reasonable. But when trying to ship a rolling shell (with spares stored inside) it can be quite impossible, as companies are not willing to accommodate the requests. So I do recommend these guys. Service was good, cost was pretty good considering all other companies wouldn't touch it and transporting was quick. I thought this may help for people who are interested in shipping shells interstate but not sure who to contact in regards to shipping. Hope it helps. Cheers Mick
  2. Hey Jordain, Been watching this thread for a while, looks good man. Interested to see how you go with the Beams in the '10, thinking about doing the same with my '25. Hope it all goes well, Cheers Mick

  4. Hi all, For work I have had to look through a lot of Australian Standards for some market research I am doing. I ended up getting a bit side tracked with Standards for Automotive Modifications. I stumbled upon this page: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi_15_engineering_signatories_november_2010.pdf If you scroll down, there is a list of registered Engineering Companies for NSW, VIC, QLD, SA & WA which may be helpful for some people. I know in WA, there is a separate page on the WA government's site for Automotive engineers. So this may only be helpful for NSW & VIC people. I did search, but couldn't tell if this had been posted before. Anyway, hope it helps. Cheers Mick

  16. Hey guys, was searching the forums and couldn't find anything on this.. I use to work at Autosport Engineering in Kirrawee(sydney) and just before i left a 4dr candy red ke55 came in and was getting a Sr20 conversion done. Does anyone know anything about it? This was probably 2 years ago. Just was interested to know what happened to it and what power it was making? Cheers Mic
  17. Yeah they are longer. Not sure about height tho. Mic
  18. You mean Ke26 2 door panelvan or 4door wagon? The wagon's doors aren't the same as ke20, but the 2 doors might be pretty close. Mic

    My Ke26

OK thought i'd update a bit. The ke20 was stripped and taken to the crushers :lolcry: rust in the chasis rails and the body were beyond repair. So cut my losses and saved as much as i could. So now the main focus has been turned to restoring the '26. Got some chrome hubbies and trims of Scott, also got a 5k for free so will look to clean that up and chuck it in. Also looking at changing the front drums to discs, then will get it lowered, clean the old girl up a bit and that will be about that. Eventually get a full respray original white and that'll be that. Cheers Mic
  22. Ah thanks Ben, will do a bit of a ring around then. Nice looking '20. You guys down in SA have some nice ke2X's ay! Very jealous! They seem to last a lot longer down there than up here in Sydney! Mic
