hi guys

thought its about time i start to show off my 20.

 

she is my pride an joy , i have done the whole thing myself from painting the car , fitting a holden turbocharged

6 cyl 4 speed , to custom interior , and all the electronics of her.

 

i compete in most burnout comps , but as I'm still new to the turbo side of things i come along small problems ,

such as fuel pressures too low ,or too high , blowing gear boxes ( slamming them into second don't help)

so when all the crap is sorted out it should be a real show stopper!

 

the ins an outs

motor - holden black 3.3 ,solid turbo grind cam (mild) electronic dizzy hooked up with rev limiter an cdi unit with msd coil an 9 mm leads,

high flow pump an oil filter, powerbond harmonic balancer , twin 1 3/4 su carbys being fed by carter fuel pump, to4 turbo on strata 2 series manifolds currently running with 12psi boost , runs with 3mm decompression plate between head an block. has big valves big ports .

est. 350hps at flywheel .

gearbox - nothing fancy just an aussie 4 speed new oil new seals , holding on with extreme pressure plate an heavy duty pad. custom tail shaft to a borg warner ke 30 diff which is weld locked .

interior is custom - new door panels , resprayed rear seat , RCI race seats in the front , custom stainless dash with autometer tacho , redline gauges , in car boost controller , cdi unit is mounted on the dash for easy access to rev limiter.

body - colour is a ford escort factory colour i forget the name , but it looks cool, 15x6 csi wheels with 195/50/15 tyres all round front brakes are ke 55 but still looking for much better option ,suspension still stock but justed lowered a little

Why burnouts? Why not drag it??? Seems to be a bit of a waste to do all that work and just go round in circles? But hey, whatever floats ya boat :y:

i think it hot as ;) .rolla20 and sus020 should come to my house and do a burnout competion my neighbors wont mind :y: .

irokin- drags is on the cards mate , but down here in adelaide , adelaide internatioal raceway , is up in arms with selling an crap so NO RACING! so all that is left is burnouts an drift ,mmm may try drifting. ;)

 

tooquick yea that would be cool , sus an i are competing agaist each other in a burnout comp in oct with garry myers so that will be cool!

Aww that sucks :y: We might as well not have a drag strip up here. Theres so many people that try to use in within the space of a few hours you barely get a run. But I guess a little bit is better than nothing ;)

nice 20., good work on the engine conversion....

probably not the best choise on a motor, but atleast it has more balls than a 3k haha,

don't mind the haters I acutally like the motor conversion its....Original. Seen sub 11sec lc-lj's with simlar setups. So i dare say she'd haul!!!!

 

Good work love the colour goes well the crome bar etc.

 

Be nice to see what 1/4 you would run mate. Keep us posted!

yea hlove the car very must, one of my mates has a ke20 with a 186 turbo in her and yeah there good.

i would luv a quarter mile time, outer her but local drag strip has been shut down due to selling an shit , :lock:

but a similar motor to what i have got pulled 12.3sec

in a hj ute, with a powerglide an a 9 inch . so i shoud be around that figure but who knows - wait an see i guess!!!

mmmmmmmm, orange. Although i don't think much of the engine choise i can apreciate a good combo and i think you will be surprised as to what its really capable of down the quarter.

 

Besides, its ORANGE :lock: thats enough for me

ok 7 weeks to go untill my insane 20 gets ago agaist some of the toughest cars at GAZZANATIONALS,
