  2. How is driving at 50 in a 60 zone minding ny own business being a dick? I was just cruising along and they pulled me over to harrass me. Fatal 4 are cream of the traffic branchcrop apparently. I don't speed skid or drive dangerously which helps. They had their booklet out and couldnt work out what was going on. Not saying everyone should drive a car like mine but if you do mods make them less defective looking .ie no super stretch.no poke not tooo low.i agree they are dumb but if you make it easy you Will get reamed. I have been driving my car like it is for nearly 2 yrs and havent been defected for anything.got to be doing something right.
  3. So.. Got pulled over by a fatal 4gts highway patrol for a gts"vehicle check" on Friday arvo. Anyone who knows my car would realise it is "defective ". Cop wanted to know how how big the spacers behind my wheels are... I don't run spacers because i run 9 -27 rims.cop tried to look for spacers through my albinos ..impossible . Then wanted to know how big my lowering blocks are.. I don't have lowering blocks i have reset leaf springs. ended up giving me a notice to repair for a broken guard indicator only.no defects.. Asked how i got the wheels to sit so far out of body work ... Bolted them on the car. Then the two cops spent 10 mins trying to work out how i had welded the rear doors up and put a metal panel where the window should be.... Its a factory panel van you dumb ʞ©$ɟs. Moral of story do it right and you can get away with outrageous mods .

  5. You do realise the law allows for a 2 inch increase in rim size from the largest factory rim offered ? This means 15 inch maximum diameter on a ke70 , and an overall increase of 10 mm in rolling diameter . Stay away from crossdrilled rotors unless they are brembo alcon or the like as the have a tendency to crack through the holes and can literally " explode". Ae86 calipers standard are all one spot not twin spot. Fc upgrade is larger caliper thus doesnt fit behind a lot of 15 inch wheels .same goes for willwoods.littleredspirit's car has willwoods and he runs the southernways because they were the only wheels i had at the time that cleared his calipers .
  6. Xt130 has same stub axle angle as ae86 / ke70 Ra60/65 gives positive camber as the stub axle angle is bigger. Xt130 has twin spot calipers standard and can be upgraded easily .can go r33 4 spots if you want to. Corona stuff is usually dirt cheap as noone plays with them.
  7. How will smaller stub axle , bearings discs and calipers give better performance ? Xt130 has all the advantages of ae86 stuff with more benefits at a cheaper cost. For rear get ajps/ buddy part adjustable platforms @ around $150 pr and sierra short stroke rear shocks.

  9. Id think an ae71 crossmember with rack n pinion steering could be easily grafted into an early girl along with lcas and struts ..

Go to wreckers get xt130 lower control arms and complete struts off powersteered car.also get the rack ends and tubes. ae86 adjustable strut tops advantage is bigger strut bigger stub axle and bearings bigger brake disc twin spot calipers longer control arm for increased track and camber and cheaper.. Buy coilover kit off ebay and fit or get someone to fit for you could.use sw20 agx shocks ...

  19. Secret with under diff is to put a roll in the pipe as it goes under the diff it allowsclearance when jacking car and helps gwt it higher under the car
