  1. i run a 205 on all my rims  7.5 through to 9.0 inch :hmm: i would go wider but profile is stopping me  if like last year 215/45/15 was still available that is what i would be running  wide rims deserve wide tyres make the car fit the rims not the other way around :laff: i have done a 185/55/15 onto a 10 for a laugh but it was absolute shit to drive on. i have 225/50/15 here but the profile makesw the tyre too big for the width of the guards without major work, it will fit under but fouls on the leading and trailing part of the arch 205/50 is not a bad stretch on a 9 but can look a bit funky on a 10. maybe 8.0 front 9.0 rear? i run my 9.0 -11/8.5 -17 with 205 on the front and the steering was awesome , not super heavy, and that is with stock camber but approx +3 degrees castor.your suspension settings will affect how heavy the steering is far more than the width of the tyre. i did a ke70 years ago fitted with 205/50's on 10's all rou nd and it drove fine but had -4 degrees camber and +6 degrees castor :P wheel bearing life is substantially reduced running this combo , but that is the price you pay. :D
  2. none of that pussy 4 inch dish here...

  4. so this is the look i am going for, but with more dish
  5. easiest way is new wheel and tyre package wider wheel with wider tyre = better handling ,as greater contact patch will increase stock grip then coilovers with 8kg spring and agx adjustable inserts 6kg rear springs with upgraded shocks new nolathane bushes through out. etc etc etc
  6. quick photochop of hayashi when diameter is increased to 15 inch
  7. so still daily driving this ,everyday wheels have been rotated through the garage onto car and back into the garage only problem i have now is that i need to run at least 8.5 - 14 offset rims to fill my guards I am going to do cut and shut rear flares very soon so i can fit up my 15 x 10's with full tuck. new wheels are in the build atm and will be 15 x 9.5 front /15 x 10 rear also i have sourced a pair of old Hayashi's that i am converting from 13 x 6 to 15 x 9 with the equip 03 style big step. one day the police might notice me.... it shocks me when i see the old pics when it was running small rims as to how much wider this has gotten. in other new my Kamei lip finnally decided to part company with the car after repeated heavy scrapes on driveways and grass verges, i have a new one here now ,but i will be shortening it a little to try to allow better approach and departure angles so i don't break this one too. before pic of hayashi command 500 that will be fat very soon
  8. i like the do not operate notice hanging from the mirror
  9. llooks pretty in all white
  10. carboard is how low the strengthening beams under the car sit i am currently looking into side skirts .. cardboard was just to visualize with skirt
  11. fitted 235/45/17 tyres to a pair of crappy old 17 inch work rims today :blinks: will be test fitting with spacers to make sure the fitment vs stance equation is correct
  12. needs more low
  13. once all the rust and repairs are done and the car is regoed, 1jz will start i am seriously considering changing to 17's on this because i want more tuck + ground clearance. the pic is with rear spring removed and the strengthening under the sills scrapes on driveway entrances atm.. I have a pair of 17 x 10 +10 vsxx works here i am just about finished widening but i think they may be too small to fill the guards satisfactorly. might see if i can borrow a mates 17 x 9.5 -19 rota rb's for a test fit ...
  14. i do have a pair of 9.5 -6 and a pair of 10 -12 sitting here............
  15. some pics 15 x 9 -11 205/50/15 stock guards rust progress weld filling the trim holes still to plate
  16. progess Thanks to Matt (Littleredspirit) for letting me use his huge awesome shed to work on this so i have removed the towbar/rear bar which were welded together ,and are now binned removed all bumpstrips and badging as i am welding up the holes and associated rust. removed boot, tail lights and all rear garnishes to perform rust repairs. boot had a lot of rust which has now been plated with new steel. car now runs perfectly but still need to source a new fuseable link for it as the original was corroded and f*#ked Everything except the wipers works , but i think the wiper motor has sh*t itself so will get another from the wreckers Trying to find a rear bar atm to suit, not sure if hatch rear bar is the same . should have all rust repairs finished by the end of the week hopefully then i will be going for rego before theserious modification begins Tossing up whether i should step up to 17 inch rims atm, rather than 15's either way i want 100mm ground clearance and full flush with tuck I think i am going to keep it white but am not sure ye will have to take some pics and post em up when and if i remember It really needs a name maybe _____ the convertible or _ _ _ _ the droptop
  17. 14's with 195/45/14 same rolling diameter as the original 12's...
