not much to update on this thing just enjoying it out in the hills a lot. do have plans to have some 14x 8.5" rims for the back with new tread before x mas. also end of december its coming off the road for 3 months.. and stictly 3 months that how long i'm allowed to have a spare car to drive. in this time the 4e fe will be going in. and the car is getting a full respray including rust cut and panelling this time. with flared front fenders. unsure if i'm gonna flare the rear. will decide when i get to it. may even shave the rear vents as i now have a lot more expeience in panel work than i did in my last attempt. i have a boot lid laying about that has had the lock shaved so that will be going on. Door locks will be disappearing too. changing the colour as well stay tuned for the colour... thats all!

yeah same shit ok so my rolla has p plates. so tossers with p plates in v8 utes smirkin at ya as iff yr car is a piece of shit... so they rocket off down the rd in peak our only to get caught up in traffic and have the piece of shit pass them again anyway.. shit c@#ts would love to to see the idiots in the hills.!

no idea.. looks like quite a bit. well anyway its running again and running smoothly! stoked. seems a bit down on power.. but i'll change plugs and leads and see how that goes.

Ok so last friday my hg went. Missin and overheating like crazy. Shit time for it as i was moving house all week. So i kept driving it all week. So shit got worse but had no choice. Anyway i dropped a spare head off and got it all machined and what not. So this arvo i changed the head over. Took 3 hrs. Won't know till tomorrow if its all good waiting for the goo's to dry. Fingers crossed!

WOW!! exxy!!!! so i guess $185 aint that bad.. duude do you have shares with a company or do you work for people that do it..?? otherwise what do you do for a job! all these wheels you get widened must hurt your wallet big time!!

yeah it does but with that much camber its still good. i can still palm turn my car easily and the castor is maxxed. $110 is waaaay too much its only a 2 wheel alignment. pedders fo sho. thats who i've used.

what does the widening cost? i got quoted 185 a wheel for steel wheels. seemed a bit excessive...

well you've lowered it so def get it aligned cos your toe will be messed up as well. then we'll see i reckon -1.5 ish. max your castor out as well, will make it heaps nicer at high speeds,

i like the red and white combo... you got your strut bent to-1 and then you lowered it? if thats the case then you'll have a bit more than -1 now.

yeah i kno rc is dead... anyway i'm out as of tonight.the 4k is farked. neeeds a new head. so i won't have it fixed in time.

do some real research on the 20v ok? there a quite a few ways around having the distributor n the back of the head on a standard ecu. try www.club4ag.com there relocation kits. DLI kits and you can also run COPS and bypass the coil altogether with the standard ecu.

instead of a new thread.. just to add to this. just say your barrel is stuffed and the key just slips out. can anything be done here?

you worried about the strength of the bay? all that panel beating and stuff flattening out the ripples is actually reducing the strength.. all those bumps and ripples etc. are what help to keep everything strong? either way its lookin bloody awesome i saw this car in an 'in the build' section in zoom i think? or fast fours can't remember.

yeah what ryan said. half rebound and 1 extra leaf than standard. its stiff but not really that bad... well to me the missus doesn't like it but i do. confy seats help a bit. so i've jst been fro another smash in the hills and the car is much more tail happy rather than understeery makes it a lot more fun it grip a heck of a lot better so the corner speeds are much better. to help with the oversteery part and to get more grip i'm looking into a pair of 25mm bolt on spacers to bring the track out at the back. once i have some money behind me i'll be getting these wheels i have now widened out to an 8" at the back and 7" up front. has developed a fual leak from the metal line into the carby. will be fixing that this arvo.

ok so what a headache today was. axle bearings are done so i'm now stoked to have a whisper quiet diff. i fitted up the rear sway bar. urethane bushes. custom crush tubes in the chassis for the brakcets. also changed back to modified stock ke30 steering arms. netted me -2.5 degrees camber. and i also have + 3.5 degrees castor. this car is now unbelievablearound corners. the sway bar has helped massively. and all that camber makes the car 'point and shoot' aorund corners.!! photos tmozzle.

so its set.. i've got the mounting clamps sorted for the sway bar.. ( my diff doesn't have the mounts on it ) als the bitch will finally be getting new axle bearings.. well wheel bearings. thanks god!

^correct! i'm a stockier dude than most my mates so i naturally can do bigger bursts of strength. but stamina is a weakness.

ok so this wkend i'm hoping to have.. modified stock steering arms in.. this will return my steering geometry to normal. so my scrub radius will be corrected. bump steer will be corrected and my toe in and out on turns will be corrected. so considering all this the car handles like nothing else already so i'm getting excited about how it will change. also the new setup will net me probably -3degrees camber... that'll be exciting.. i will more than likely wind my camber tops to positive to save my tyres for a bit. also a rear sway bar will be fitted up so i can find if this will help or hinder the cars handling. on my mind atm is also sway bar lockers. this helps prevent the sway bar moving sideways on hard cornering or when your bushes start to flog out a bit. also i'm considering going pedders sports ryders for the rear and r31 skyline sports ryders for the front... one thing at a time tho. i don't' want to make heaps of changes at once.. this car is basically a tester.. if i can get it right on this car it'l give me a good basis for my ke11 to be psycho.!!!!hehehe
