yeah i don't like 2 pack colours. 2 pack you just gotta take it easy!! do one light (dust) coat and then one solid wet coat! let it sit for 10mins and then apply one more solid wet coat! also depend on atmo conditions!

Du pont acrylic ss black with protec 2k 2pack clear. from the way the paint is chipping i reckon i didn't allow enough time between basecoat to clear. the basecoat has stuck really well but the clear has f all adhesion!! i reckon the solvents in the paint didn't evaporate properly!! will be a lot more careful this time around!!

update! motor cam back out! unbolted the gearbox and pulled all the suspension gear out! and dismantled for powder coating! everything is brandnew. outer tie rods inner tie rods pitman arm idler arm bushes and ball joints!! also started work on engine bay! you can see the dammage my motor did while messing around with it! and i've started boggin out all those ugly creases in the bay!!

you know centre punches?? you can get the same thing but in letter form. use some of them maybe?

hey mate check all your vaccuum lines to the carby... ince i put one on the wrong bit or forgot to have one on or something and the motor vibrated like crazy! i too thought it was mounts but was only a hose! have a fiddle!!

Hey yeah. i'll be getting a ta22 diff and getting the sway bar mounts put on. i've been into pedders and they are going to put an anti tramp rod in my leaf packs supposed to be ideal! just waiting on the $$$ amount!

Hey ya'll! i would like to know what the best suspension setup for a ke55 be for hill rubs and grip!? i don't really know for the rear beingleaf sprung! i have reset lowered leafs with one extra leaf in em. is there a good way to improve on em or will they be alrightish? as for the front i want to get some a j p s coilovers. with perhaps a 6kg spring? cheers, Luc

the only other thing it could be would be the dash light dimmer switch?

nah no reason for it to be looped. perhaps the person that did it didn't really know what they were doing?

Hey mate i reckon that they are supposed to go to a little light that is just above your stock radio!

haven't test fitted and probably wont be for ages. but i did pull it out and it seems pretty good. got all the moulding bumps it need! so fingers crossed! but these guys are pretty recomended! progress is pretty good! still got more plastics to do also today i sanded boged and reprimed two more doors! so one more sand then smoothe prime and they'll be ready for the inside to be painted! only leaves two more!!

Update small one! Got my brand new carpet today! stoked! black loop pile from knox auto carpets! also got a brand new intank pump. the old one was secondhand! finished prepping one of my doors today! my front left will be giving a smooth prime tomorrow. seems that my rear right door is going to be bitch. the door skin has warp slightly but over a large area! not happy JAN!. anyway we'll see how it goes!

did heaps today! prepped and primed two doors! gonna paint the insides during the week.... i hope. prepped my bonnet and boot.... shaved boot lock ftw! painted the rear of the boot!...... the ugly stuff is getting covered by a custom cover! you only see the edges! painted my centre console and rear pillar plastics!! stoked at how it all looks! hope ya'll like!

i got one too. my porject thread has photos. you can bolt em straight on but i ended up cutting the bottom half of the quarters and the original fron bar to make it neater.

update! installed my vl fuel pump and aftermarket sender into my peddy tank! just gotta get a wiring loom for the pump. can you use standard wire?

as said above. also the rods and crank are lighter flywheel is also lighter. thats really about it.
