got a thermo fan? this could help!! oh and the 82 mark should be halfway ish. temp guages are funny things mine worked fine until i got a new sender which was meant for the year n stuff but it read 3/4 hot all the time! and this was wrong cos i could get out and sit my hand on the rad. so yeah!! probs nothing wrong. oh also i had my thermfan set to 60degrees. and the guage was at 3/4 before the thermo kicked in so yeah!! guages are funny things. hook up an aftermarket one!!

hahaha ummm chicken wire!!!!!!! hmmmm :P i did this in my bottom rear drivers guard. hole was bigger than my head!!! the used fibreglass matting. the stainless stell fibreglass then bog! worked rust hasn't come back and its tuff as but i'm still gonna get rid of it and weld steel in!

check the wiring behind th alt? sometimes they can come loose or short out if old the shorting out bit happened to me once.

ever arc welded?? its kinda like both mixed together. it arcs to start the welding using fluxcore wire. with the wire i have and the welder you have to do tack welds real short bursts otherwise it blows holes which you then have to fill in with more welding.

probs seem stupid but its not working in my head! if the elbow moves then how is it tranfering the movement? quick vid will sort me out i think.
