Hope so, because I have a morbid fear of tailshafts. :P Because, by my thinking, if a 4AC AE71 sells for $5k, that means my 4AGE AE82 (newer car, better engine) is worth around $7k? :lmao: Tell me if I'm wrong here, but hypothetically, if I bought a car & spent $20k on legal, legitimate modifications to it, the MOST I could reasonably add to the asking price would be $10k? Of course, the asking price would be lower than the purchase price due to deppreciation etc. I realise this theory may not apply to all cars, for instance, rare classic cars i.e One of these. But an xE7x is not in this category.

Good place to be reminded of that & have a good vent while here. WGMG - When a wound only just heals up, then dries out, cracks & starts bleeding everywhere. I haven't cut it yet, was thinking of taking the cut line from the base of the windshield to the very rear of the plug. The thought process there is: vac-form from the top, remove the pins & have a shallower angle to be able to slide the lower/front piece out & then remove the upper/rear piece. This styrene stuff has a little bit of flexibility in it right? I'm sorry if I sound like a small child who's had their toy taken away/stubborn little turd, I just know what I want it to look like & am not quite sure on how to achieve that. :blush: Knocked up a box with a heap of 6mm holes in a grid pattern on the top & a side port for the vacuum hose. Could work out the volume but cbf, seems to flow alright, hopefully it does the job. Transmitter & receiver have arrived, so I hooked it up to the motor to test it... You know how the rear tyres on a top fuel drag-car change shape when they give it a bootful? All four were kind of doing an R/C version of that! :blinks: New servos for the steering are in the mail, CHANGE ALL OF THE THINGS!!! :laff:

I've seen quite a few chewed Exedy clutches from cars (including track-used cars) making over 3x the power of yours & none exhibited the colouring etc that yours does. I've also never seen a flywheel machining job that looked like yours. Random question concerning 'oxygenated' fuels....if there really is 'extra' oxygen dissolved in the fuel, in a given volume of fuel, does this not displace hydrocarbons that are used for the big bang? Therefore reducing the power of said bang as less hydrocarbons are burning? Pretty sure a motor can get enough oxygen via the intake... ^^^ This. As a former KE70 owner, I beg to differ. The point is, why change broken things if you don't have to? There's 40 minutes you could've been on the track going for a new slide angle/arse-backwards-exit record. Forsee the problems & fix them before they become a problem seems a better way to to go about things. No it doesn't, it makes selections from its pre-programmed database. Early July, as in the 2nd of. ;) Journeymans are the final exams to complete my plumbing/gasfitting course, 7 of them, ~3 hours time limit each. I think I'm right for 4 of them, the other 3 I'm using some 'brush-up nights' to refresh my memory.

So, if I make the plug a two-piece item I was thinking of having it split along the thin blue line. Anyone see this not working? Or better to go from the top of the 'windshield'?

The biggest money killer for me was food/drinks while at work. Buying them wherever I was cost me over $80 a week, I can make lunch etc & take it to work with me for about $30 a week. Eat healthier & save $50 a week? Winning! :D WGMG - The breeding ability of mice & my unwillingness to use poison baits, if my dog finds one killed by poison before I do & eats it, BIG problem. :( Peanut butter & traps work great, but I've trapped over 40 in the last 6 weeks & they still keep coming. No food that they can get to aside from in the traps, no 'nest' I can find....napalm too extreme?

Done making the plastic shell or done making the fibreglass mould? Niether if I can help it. :blush: You're referring to the overhangs right? (i.e front/rear bumpers) Since my original plan was to make a FG mould of it & have it as a two-piece (split down the middle front to rear) with external 'brackets' for holding the halves together correctly. Attach 'brackets', then cut down the middle while it's still on the plug. Then the concept of plastic formng was introduced into the mix (cheers B.Z.L.BUB :y:) & the shape is now problematic. I really want to keep the current shape rather than have to alter it, the hopeful part of my mind says "Yeah, you'll be able to get the shrink-wrapped plastic off it multiple times without damaging it". The pessimist part says "No f**king chance". Probably going to alter the front & rear, see how it looks & go from there. Unless anyone has any other suggestions? :)

That'd be my first thought too, if I managed to control myself I'd be having charges laid. If that fails, refer Option 1. All I had to do to find out who my friends were was move out of town, real friends actually still called & even visited me!
