The strip of chrome on the front bumper, just breaks up all the black IMHO. Budget lip FTW. :) Serious? Sort of regretting not going this brake setup myself, easier & somewhat cheaper to get bits for than the AE101 / ST185 combination. Then again, if either of those don't work well enough for you, bazda also sells Wilwood front setups for about $1k. Forehead-into-steering-wheel action guaranteed. :D +1 all of the above! :y:

I shouldn't have read the last half a page, courtesy of a chest infection the laughing fit I went into nearly made me choke. :2thumbs:

Sounds like there's going to be some mod-slapping going on again. :D WGMG - People who are not blood-relatives trying to dictate how you & your family should operate. Thankyou for the kind suggestions, but seeing as noone asked for them.....*Bite tongue to avoid major $h1tfight*

It's not pov-spec, you've got chrome strips! :P I like the non-colour coded bumpers as well, but the strip on the front helps break up all the black. As does the nicely placed car owners forums sticker. ;)

If I'm allowed. Edit: I bring tools & helping hands. :D

Sounds like I've just found out what I might be up to this weekend...Crossing the bridge & popping over for a look-see?

I'm on the other side of the city but will keep my eyes open! -
$h1t.....hope they managed to get it all out & that it heals up okay. Mr Murphy didn't seem to be on your side, this sucks majorly! When I took my licence test in Ballarat ~10 years ago, the instructor told me the exact same thing, except 'nufty' was another word altogether... ;)

Ooh, automatic, not much fun hey? They're not rocketship in a straight line but if you keep the momentum up through the corners, they are a bit of fun. Almost ANY wheels are better than the 13"x5" standard steelies. I don't forsee a conversion in the near future but if it does happen I'll let you know about the drivetrain.

Sounds like it's time to get your Viking on with the donor, rape & pillage! :D

For real? Here I was thinking I was the only poor bugger with one of these! 4 speed manual? I have no idea what rotating the single-cam strut-tops will do, either good or bad. The only way to know for sure would be to do a before & after comparison using a wheel alignment shop or DIY-ing it at home.
-
The carby/single camshaft models strut-tops only have three bolts, whereas the 4AGE models used four. Might you be thinking of the trick of rotating the Twin Cam strut tops 180 degrees to obtain more castor angle?

Cheers mate, your blue paint tops them though. :y: I needed new tyres anyway, so while I'm there..... ;) The wheels are courtesy of The_Nobbler, they came with Sudi when I bought her from him. They're from a Mazda of some description, which one I have NFI. All I did was clean them, get new tyres put on & fit them. ;) Invited the parents along to check out the Toyota antics I keep talking about, my Mother's not a huge car person & she said she enjoyed walking around looking at the cars. No clue what they were other than Toyotas, but had fun nonetheless. My Dad was amazed we got that many cars in the middle of Winter, told him to check out our Summer meets. My mate was a Eurotrash fan, I think Winterfest showed him a few things. I say 'was' because after many years of persisting, I think I've finally managed to turn him to The Land of the Rising Sun...I'm hearing talk of a post-taxtime Corolla purchase. Thanks man, hate having it on pause but there's more important things to do at the moment. What kind of boat do you have? 'Boat' makes mine sound big, dinghy would be the honest name. :laff:

Just one set, the springs are on a shelf waiting for me to order bumpstop kits as well as swaybar bushes so she will finally have a front swaybar!!! Need to replace my broken dashtop too...bah, she's shiny, that'll do for now. :)

Nothing done on project, update for daily. Blue Thing got a wash & some new shoes, have more pics from Winterfest but they're on my parents camera. :( Thinking lowered springs soon so I can achieve this ride height minus the parents, mate & dog. :hmm:

I think Chinese Whispers have affected the rumour mill, because out here in the west I'm hearing that there's going to be a Borg Warner & an arc welder involved? :blinks: About time this was revived, I noticed the FS sign was gone, joy! :D

Damn tease! :P Happy with the colour? Edit: I like it by the way!

Took it out to Winterfest, had a play around & made some observations, the small size & lack of decent suspension means it hops & skips around everywhere over rough asphalt. Rather tough to control even on half throttle. :( The bright side being it drifts like a mofo & does 360 spins like a demon. :D This plastic holds up to crashes okay but too flimsy to pick it up easily. Thinking of swapping the factory gear back when the polycarbonate shell goes on & put the brushless gear into the offroad buggy. Much easier to find a place to run offroad than onroad sadly. Broke the mount I made for the steering servo, but all in all a success I think.

Get left onsite with all the work gear, finish job & need to get the gear back to base as the van's still an hour away. Am I worried? Nah, I drive a Corolla. :) We did get a few people doing double-takes in traffic... :laff:
