  3. Ooh...that's gonna leave a mark! Congrats on the wedding Cam! :y: ROFL @ photo of kickn5k, gooone! :P By the by, that isn't the same pink hat as the one floating around the 2010 GOR is it? :D
  4. :o   Nice looking work Casey! Video of start up when the time comes?
  5. :y: Hell yeah! Overalls for the win! They also have heaps of handy pockets to stash sockets etc that usually roll away to exactly 2 inches out reach or you have to crawl out from under the car because you forgot the 14mm... :laff: Difficult to get the loom out?
  6. I was abusing the $h1t out of my phone & service provider...ahh they needed it anyway! :laff:
  7. ^^^ I think I have misinterpreted this part, sorry for the confusion. I wish I could answer that, seeing as my electrical experience extends as far as how-not-to electrocute myself/set things on fire, any answer I could give would be completely guesswork I'm afraid. :( Hopefully Mr Medicine Man has your remedy! :y:
  8. Give me a minute & I'll work out what this is... Toyota 2000GT Honda NSX Type R Porsche 930 :D
  9. Oops, my bad! Messed with my head for a little while if it helps! :P
  10. I was throwing punches willy nearly ... ^^^ Posted via mobile phone & without changing text size. :)
  11. Methinks I'm in the same boat as you.
  12. :blinks: :hmm: :bash: That's a real noodle scratcher...if it were me, I'd have a crack at splicing the 4efte ecu into your 3ete loom. If you can identify which wire goes to what & there's enough pinouts for the essentials plus the extra stuff your current engine has (a/c, p/s etc?) you should not only be able to get it in & running, but possibly even correct some of the previous electrical work while your're at it. :) At first I thought to just put the 4efte loom in, as the ecu will work with it. Then I wondered how complicated it would be to integrate the extras you have into the loom. Not being an electrical guru, I'd say possibly very! Good luck with whichever path you take!
  13. Damn straight, my world would implode if you did! Take it easy on your back, hope treatment works for you & you can get back into it. Awesome that the desire's still there! :D
  14. At random, on a whim etc. :) Not 100% on spelling now
  15. Was thinking the same, but has been a fascinating read. A lot to say has already been brought up & some is just way beyond me, but here goes. I might be suggesting something stupid here, but does it seem like the majority of politicians seem to have forgotten that they serve us, not the other way around? Or that the people have forgotten that (if the majority agree) they can remove whatever government is in power at the time & choose who they want, rather than what we are offered? Peacefully of course, I'm talking voting, not a revolution. How much money each year flows into the governments coffers from taxes on tobacco & alcohol? Because that's how many reasons there are as to why they wont ban them outright. Sure, some of the money received goes towards anti-smoking campaigns etc but would be a mere trickle in comparison. Damn right, introduce prohibition into this country & you'd see it tear itself apart... & that's just the drinks break at Parliament House.
  16. :blinks: Gee, wonder why that is? :laff: +1 on the M-word mod. :) Good point... :hmm:
  17. Glad I'm not completely nuts yet! Nor the only one slightly annoyed by $h1tty spelling (or misuse of words  ) on occasions. Granted, we all slip up at times, but when in a world where you have online dictionaries right here on the screen in another tab rather than a big, fat book on the shelf... Maybe I should take this out of WGMG & throw it into Redwarfs "How hard can it really be?" basket. :P
  18. :lmao: I've wondered why I can't type w.i.l.l.y-n.i.l.l.y without it changing n.i.l.l.y to nearly, now it makes sense!
  19. Nice to know he hasn't dropped off the face off the planet completely, kinda missed the sarcastic abuse. :P
  20. The annoying thing is that it stays a dream for such a long time. :( Rego for Blue Thing, the daily hack. Sorry for the panic moment. :laff: Edit: Methinks you'd win the bike race, damn I'm unfit!
  21. Cheers bazda, one could say the same thing (plus a lot more nice things) for your engine/suspension setups! :y: Cursing the tax return didnt cover both rego & coilovers. :( Today I dream, one day I will order, in the meantime I'll finish the bodywork. Cheers Stu, I think of it as the hybrid offspring of a cross-country bike & road racers love affair. The 550lb spring in the rear has made way for a 1200lb item, I'm about 75kgs dripping wet so it's pretty much a hardtail now. I found a guy who has a set of 1998 (keeping it period correct  ) Rockshox Indy XC's that he used once & stashed in a garage for 12 years, should work well with a firmer spring rebuild kit I also spotted for those exact shocks. Once he gets off his @r$e & posts them I can yank the shagged Indy S's currently there off! Going for road use only, tried a dirt trail on it, found a soft patch & nearly ended up face first into said trail. :) Okay, I admit to owning ONE spandex item...a pair of padded shorts that are ALWAYS worn underneath normal clothes. They're needed for rides longer than 15 minutes or so. :D I'd downhill the knobbly tyred thing, but I don't want to die just yet. I crashed into the back of a car on flat ground...you know the horseshoe shaped brakes that require so much effort to barely be able to lock a wheel? They suck. I like automtive history! :) Apparently the AE82 was the first compact production car with fold flat seats, gotta get me a scanner so I can post some pics of a book I have on the concept/design process of the AE82. Doesn't cover the hatch though. :(
  22. Cheers Ben, they'll hide the dodgy sill bottoms quite nicely! :laff: Thankyou for digging those pics up, I'd never seen the sedan spoiler before... :blinks: Nor a front lip in as good condition as the photo. Is that 'hatch' decal real or photoshopped on your car? There's a guy in NZ who's now making some fibreglass replicas of the NZGT front lip extension complete with ducts for brake cooling. :D The downsides are that it's more than I can afford at the moment & while I like the brake cooling ducts, I'm just personally not too crash hot on the lips aesthetics. :hmm: Each to their own tastes, no offence to anyone who has one! :no2: I'm using my phone currently so it's a little difficult to check but I think there's some pics in my gallery or in the first few pages of the front bumper lip I made. It attaches to the bottom of the bumper, rather than over the front so to speak. Better not lower the ride height too much then... Edit: It's got the same top cloth as the bonnet, so once cleared it'll be a matching set...which reminds me, that hatch spoiler mould I made's laying around somewhere. :P
  23. I probably should've mentioned that! The one on the bottom is upside down, but it's a pair of fibreglass sideskirts for an AE82. A semi-ripoff of the FX-GT items but I prefer these over some of the aftermarket offerings, what little there are available. They need a little loving (to be expected given their age), nothng I can't handle. :) Edit: The fat, blue thing in the bottom right corner's my stomach, don't mind me, just had breakfast. :laff:
  24. Okay, something car related today!. :) These arrived in the mail for me yesterday afternoon, a BIG thankyou goes out to Bugzbarney who was so very kind as to bubble pack the snot out of these & post them to me, they arrived unharmed! Have been looking for a set of these for while now, could go the aftermarket items that are around but I don't like them, they don't suit the AE82. These do & should neaten up the sills quite nicely! :D
  25. Again, nothing car related but here's a pic of the old dunger I was getting about on. I can now bugger that heavy, creaky, knobbly tyred hunk o' junk off & ride this! :D Gave it a good shakedown ride this afternoon, brakes need some adjusting but otherwise hunky dory. Much more pleasurable to ride (smooth tyres for the win!), not for off road use anymore but will get me to work so I can investigate BT's vacuum leaks!
