  1. A connection between going mental & scientology? Never..... :P Sometimes movies shouldn't be remade, I went to see Conan (maybe not a direct remake) last night....OMFG! It made Arnie's version look like a multiple Oscar winning film, the only redeeming feature was the freeky witch chick. ;) Either Voyage to the bottom of the sea or 20,000 leagues under the sea I think would be great with todays special effects etc.
  2. Forgive me, but I still don't follow why you need to send a machining job to Ireland...unless you get free shipping? :hmm: Great work so far man, loving it! :y:
  3. *KICK ALONG* All sanded, bloody sore hands again! If this is bad, arthritis must be a real bitch! :( All primered. Some spray putty in areas as well for good measure.
  4. Would he have chased her if she wasn't? Well, I wouldn't have!
  5. My apologies for not getting to say g'day to you guys, I rolled up a wee bit late & still half asleep. :blinks: Car looks sweet in the new pics, the blinding glare off the chrome bumper, arrgh! :P
  6. Did you guys not notice the divvy van pull up at the meet, the cops get out & go inside for breakfast? Noticed one perving on the HK Holden but that's about all they did. As long as you're not behaving like previously mentioned Nissan Sillyva, Honda Jizz or Commonwhore they're generally not interested. Spewing I missed the axle-tramping cop style! :lolcry:
  7. Wasnt happy with how things turned out with the hatch area, so some sanding & washing took place. Then some bogging took place, a combination of bog & blade putty (seperatly of course!). Not a lot happening I know, lots going on in life at the present & not all of it good, but just doing what I can when I can. :sigh:
  8. *Rolls over in bed & looks at clock* 9:02am...Oh sh.....!!! Despite getting there very late, I discovered 60 plus cars there!! :o Good thing I actually washed Blue Thing the night before! :D Damn thing keeps ending up in photos & making me ashamed of myself... :P Awesome turnout guys & gals, thanks to all who attended! Was good to see a few familiar faces again & meet some new ones (finally :laff:), my apologies to anyone I didnt get to catch up with or chat to for very long. Also an apology to the poor random guy I walked up to & started chatting to, I confused him with someone else! My favourites were the Civic, the Corona wagon, the 2 wheeled Toyota () & the Beams AE86. After seeing that car I had gutter rash on my chin & a wet stain in an embarassing location.
  9. Amen to that man! I've got the basics, it's when the 1 3/4" (for example) stuff comes up my brain has a cough, splutter & fart so I stop using my head & have to start writing: 1 25.40 + 19.05 = 44.45 Now, where's my nutfuc......I mean, shifter? :laff: Edit: Forgot to carry the 1.
  10. I have spoken with a quite a few tradies I've come across who've being using (and abusing :P) them. This is the general feedback I've being getting, have rode shotgun in one & I gotta say, the interior's are much better. Don't have to be a contortionist to sit in the middle seat of the bench seat like you do in the Vito for starters. :) Waiting to see if there's any long term issues that crop up, wont be surprised if there isn't any.
  11. Rekorderlig & tequila shots :D Ooh & eye candy as far as I can see!
  12. WMMH - FINALLY chugging through the two years of paperwork to get my tax returns done. :D
  13. Deary me, the legalities & technicalities involved with putting an older (RWD) engine in a newer (FWD) car... Nevermind once you've switched over to an "A" engine, you'll never go back to a "K"! To answer your question jdmae92, yes it is the supercharged version. Toyota had a system going where if the engine code had a Z in it, it was supercharged. Friendly tip? Certain kinds of questions, while legitimate if you genuinly don't know, can result in a lot of sarcasm/flamage on internet forums, not so much here though. To avoid, chuck '4AGZE' into our search feature or Google, this will answer a few of your questions & probably give you a few more! :D
  14. My brain just imploded... 8/ Edit: It's not the existence/use of Imperial that gets me, it's the having to do the conversions on the fly. Where's that damn conversion table? Airbuses? :P
  15. ^^^ Just top up the tank & give her a quick oil & filter change would ya mate?
  16. JAF! Jealous As Fu....
  17. Normal to knock over pretty much anything? Jerking the steering wheel while driving these has the potential to greatly reduce your life expectancy. I don't doubt the torque of these vans, it's the fact that you're not the one in control of it. The engine/transmission ecu's are & they, like my ex g/f, can't make a damn decision! :(
  18. Spotted today at about 12.45pm, a slightly darker-than-Kermit-the-frog green KE55 (? I gets confused sometimes with KE3x) with chrome bumpers on the corner of Sunshine Avenue & Main Road East. Wheels resembled jellybeans & driven by a female, my main reason for noticing.
  19. Oh you win by far, no doubt about it! *Taking notes* Request aftermarket pads, keep an eye on EGR & turbo, increase tyre pressures..... This camber bush problem...is it the cause of a loud THUNK from the front end when near/on full lock? Or have we to have likely just forked the steering arms? The text in bold is oh too damn familiar! That flat spot of acceleration you know so well was explained to me (by a VERY nicely suited) MB salesman as "being the fault of it being a turbo diesel, they all have that." On a 2009 Mercedes Benz (it's just a van...F-you, they put their badge on it, it's one of them! :laff:), with all their technology/R&D at their disposal, that costs how much, they still have turbo-lag this bad??? :blinks: Yes, I laughed in his face. The manual mode is good for two things only: 1- Locking it in 1st & switching the traction control "off" to get around steeply inclined, very muddy worksites with tight spaces without resembling a 3 ton pinball. 2- Locking it in 2nd & switching the traction control "off" to vent your anger on a dirt road! And half a bottle of tequila & a bad burrito.... Reason why boss (read: boss's wife who controls the money) bought a Vito instead of a Hiace was the thought that the Hiace was too high to easily get ladders on/off all the time...I'm not tall but I'd trade that for Vito's 'character' anytime! Will check that VIN when I'm back at work next week Evan, cheers!
  20. It's pinned at the top of the page, so I guess it's nice to see a recent last post date for a change. :laff: Edit: RE: blzbub666's post below - Good point, I'd say there's more than a few new members on mobile devices who just use that button too.
  21. No G-Unit sticker? I'm in.
  22. I might just let my boss know about this, we have one just over 18 months old & already: - Replaced 3 broken door-stoppers for the rear doors, $h1tty cast aluminium brackets will break if the slightest bit of breeze catches the door. - A/C stopped working 2 weeks into ownership, back at dealer for a week, not sure what happened or why. Then did the same thing 6 weeks later... - Alternator fried itself, replaced. - Recalled for wiring harness replacement, funnily enough it's mostly the alternator section that is at fault... - Brakes needed replacing after 11,000kms :blinks: - Power window mechanisms on both front doors malfunctioning & replaced. Sounds like we could have a rough ride ahead... :( Other Vito Gripes: - The 'fly-by-wire' throttle...give me a cable ANY day! - The manual shifting mode in the automatic transmissions....I selected 3rd gear about 6-7 seconds ago, the number on the dash changed... Mr Transmission - why are you revving your head off in 2nd still? - Quoted by mechanic at a nameless MB dealer: "The batteries in these have enough capacity to start it....thats's it. A door open for an hour & you're not going anywhere." Also it's in an arse of a position, under the passenger seat. - Bonnet release lever is on the passenger side...stupidly (I think anyway) left there from the RHD conversion.
  23. Encouraging... nice! Good point though, I had a brief thought that it was for tail light removal. :laff: I don't think I've mentioned it, your new colour scheme looks great man! Your car's evolved quite a bit now from the beginning. :P
  24. Good to see you're out having fun on private property. :) My $0.02? Not sure on the how or where, but probably not in the wagon atm. Without laying out cash? :hmm: Make sure you have spares so if something breaks you don't have to buy a new part? No idea on the diff welding, I'm a FWD weirdo. :P If the P/S pump doesnt work then it is kinda pointless having it there, could remove it but plug up any holes left from fluid line connections to the rack I guess. Is the A/C system gassed up? If so, releasing refrigerant gas is a bad idea! If it's not, yank itout & continue on the weight saving theme.
  25. Sorry to come across a bit harsh, was more intent on taking the mickey out of EvanG than anything else. :laff: Nothing personal, I was serious about me being all excited when I first joined here. I must admit though, I had a bit of a giggle over the reanimation of the Att - All Members thread. You were on topic at least! Edit: ^^^ :lolcry:
