Spotted this at Pinch-A-Part, Campbellfield this afternoon, familiar to anyone? Bonnet was nicely rumpled :( Also, the red AE9X that WAS in nice condition? :laff: There was also a KE....ummm....:hmm:...ducktailed-boot two door there, not sure how much was left as I bailed when it started raining, again!

No photos this time around as I remembered the camera but forgot the batteries :bash: Sanded back the MetalMend on the drivers side jack points & gave them a light skim of bog to be able to bring them up nice & flat, plus filled a few low points I felt while sanding. Also sanded back all the spot welds I'd bogged along the seam, it's way too involved getting it all dead flat so I'm going with smooth :lol: Damn it's cold tonight!

I just wanted to say thankyou to all the people who turned up, even those like me who had to leave early :lol: It looked like being a good turnout by the steady stream of cars arriving. :yes: I would also like to extend my apologies for disappearing mid-conversation to kickn5k (I had assumed dfunkt would be there :blinks:) & webers4x48 (for sale?!?NNOOOO! lol). +1 on that! Although, they got rid of tobacco advertising & reduced the the alcohol advertising (not that we don't still get bombarded with beer ads). Something had to fill the financial void. I wonder what will come next :lol:

Amen to that! :yes: Awesome journey by the sounds of things, definitely the right vehicle choice. :) One of my most peaceful moments was doing a 3 day solo hike along the Lerderderg River. Nothing electronic, everything I had was in/on my backpack & no people. :wink: Damn, this makes me want to go bush again :lol:

Has been a frustrating week, spent most of last weekend stuck in a roof cavity rebuilding the components of a gravity-fed hot water system & cleaning up the water threatening to collapse our ceiling in the kitchen. Then a week of late finishing trade school coupled with general life stuff meant that not much has been done :( Gave the drivers sill area a quick sand up, then into the Metal Mend it was. Got into the bog as well ;) And the front jack point. Gave the dash/bottom of windscreen a grind. Then a hit of rust converter & wash off. Then another grind up, wash with w&gr. While the rust converter was doing its thing, I gave this a scuff up & another hit of MetalMend. After it cured, it received another scuff up, a hit of bog & when that cured, just a quick hit of primer over the bare metal to look after it until I get back. Primer applied :)

I feel your pain man, no matter how I budget & stick to it, something always comes along to f**k everything & leave me eating spaghetti & tomato sauce for three days until payday :yes: Bless award pay rates!
