I'd then be taking my business elsewhere  That $h1t aint on.

If they are the non-foldflat seats the rear seat bottom will lift up from the front, you may need to give it a little tug but it'll come out. If they're the fold flat seats there's a little tab at the back of the bench in the middle which you pull to release it & it unbolts from where the hinges are.

If that's the case then there's several thousand words there  Fantastic work so far, one can't help get the feeling you do this kinda stuff for a living? :)

Glad you didnt end up going through O'Briens, they overcharge & do sloppy work with cars in my opinion. A friend of mine now works for them, he never believed how overpriced they were until now & no I can't even get mates rates lol. His boss wondered why they didnt get much 'car club etc' work & was told simple, you're too expensive, stick to insurance work. Congratulations on passing your licence test, you did better than me, I instant-failed my first attempt :P Take heed of what SkidzMGee has said, you'll be able to enjoy your car more if you resist temptation. But given the effort/work you've put in, I doubt you'll risk her safety

Happy Birthday Josh! :y:  Edit: run to the hills....run for your life... ;) Just saw blzbub's post.

Lambs on Lygon eh? Five years ago they were epic, I noticed things have changed when in there last :blinks: I'll be there! No Crown for me though, I get queasy around 'salmon' shirts with popped collars

WGMG - Having the whole weekend planned out to get a heap of work done on the car only to get home from work on Friday afternoon to discover that it's all gone to $h1t & I'm gonna be lucky to get near it at all. :bash: Edit: WGMG - My housemates 10yr old daughter having 4 friends over for a sleepover... :blinks: I'm getting the hell outta home tonight!!

:D Cheers man! :y: It doesn't have the greatest start, but this story will have a happy ending  Just a 'lil bit to go...
-
Same here... Still have NFI :D :blinks: If that's the worst thing going for you at the moment...the car can wait a little longer

I don't know him, but even I got the impression he's keeping mum on that. Surprises are awesome! That's a lot of effort... & beer! :laff: I hear you on that, qualified professionals who work on cars for a living/people who have done all of this before probably look at some things we (RC members) do & laugh like hell. But I guess that's the joy of the learning curve being a spectator sport sometimes :laff: If you have the ability to look at something you've done & identify what could be done differently/better/whatever, then you're on the right track. :y: If you were smart enough & didnt muck it up the first time like me, then kudos to you! Go team go! :D It happens, get to work!

Still avoiding the roof :P Got to work on the front drivers jack-up point where the spanner before me had bent the seam & pushed the bottom of the sill upwards :( It's jacking a car up, it's not rocket science FFS! No access from above to push it back down & wanting to avoid putting a screw into the dent to pull it out (leaving a hole to fill...I think I've filled enough holes in this car  ) I got creative  An 8mm drill bit, some welding rod & an old extension bar, insert drill bit, pull on extension bar (read: lift body off ground) & feel metal pull down. Bend wire & extract drill bit. :) Repeat several times... I can't get the vertical section (with the notches) to move back down, but it's better than what it was I guess. I realise bogging it will make it look better but will end in FAIL the second I put a jack on it :blinks: Thinking MetalMend as it's a damn sight tougher than regular bog, then some carbon plate either glued or screwed (or both) over the top after topcoat to take the load... Suggestions? Yes it's technically underneath the car, but I don't have sideskirts to hide it :P A quick strip & rust converter hit. The primer that was on it was simply overspray  Ya know how AE82's are notorious for rust at the rear of the wheelarches? This little black bit was all that I had...on this side :laff: After another hit with the wire brushes & a wash, we have primer.

You may have mentioned this earlier, but does the white paint you used have a name/code or is it a custom mix? I like it...I'm just a curious bugger  :P Does look familiar though... :hmm:

Regarding the 'other thread', the concept of "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" appears to be dead. Regarding the "hate my car zone", please don't. :no2: Lots of reasons not to. Good luck with the body work! :y:

I wholeheartedly & sincerely endorse this product, event and or statement

Sorry, gotta do this... This sounds like an interesting conversion :hmm: Already a winner in my books as it means there's another Honda not on the road :P

This scares me a little... |blink| :nervous:

Ke70 Questions...Some Probably Stupid...
carbonboy replied to Flopsyfrog's topic in Automotive Discussion
If you can find an AE82 Twin Cam that still has the steering wheel in okay condition, grab it. I'm not sure if they had the 'Twin Cam 16' written across them in AE9x onwards... I think someone will know & mention it :) It's been a few years since I had a KE70, I'll leave the head unit question to someone who has one  Edit: Your friend may have been thinking of the manual gearbox from the AE86 Corolla, which of course was rear wheel drive ;) -
+1 to all of above :)

That would be a front wheel drive gearbox, C40 (4 speed) or C50 (5 speed) :) No good to you :no2: -

Brown, rusty ugliness... :( Tail-light areas & passenger quarter panel. Wire brush before & after :) Rear end rust convertered, wire brushed & washed with w&gr :) While I'm here I might as well... Rust converter on... We have shiny bits!!! In some shots it will look like there's still rust there...I'm going with it being a trick of the light, believe me, there is NO rust there anymore :no2: :D I may as well grind & wash this too, while I'm here & all... First coat.

Nice color choice  Going black with the bonnet?
-
I couldnt help but wonder, the shots were so nice! Love the front bar, the larger, split 'mouth' suits along with the lip  Subtle changes rather than the slap in the face of a Droid/Jetspeed etc body kit :lolcry:
