Check This Out - Brand New Old Corolla'S Rediscovered.
carbonboy replied to TOMsGPTurbo's topic in Automotive Discussion
I've seen this floating around before...would love one but... :) Edit: If you're going there, you'd better be packin heat! -
I finally got the remaining passenger side area stripped. Rust convertered. Wire brushed & washed again. Primer. A massive photo dump...yeah, but glad to to have gotten this far :D Am at the point I'd hoped to be at 6 months ago  But... - Days since project started: 567. - Hours spent working on it: 580. Finally averaging OVER an hour per day

Was just the 86's, but I'm always up for collective totals too! :blinks: Fork.... I'd love to buy wrecks & scrap them for parts (could make a killing on early model Hondas alone here ), unfortunately my housemate can only tolerate so much...the only place I'd be having them stored is a dark, warm place I consider 'exit only'. :P
-
So, how many does this one make the total? :)
-
+1 !!!
-
Congratulations man! :y: Yes!! I have been pleasantly surprised how much better this makes a car look for minimal amount of dollars input  Along with front strut braces & a rear swaybar from 4AGE model? These will make wonderful differences to your cars handling & wont add to the 'cop bait' factor :) & be safe out there! +1 $50 does sound expensive for just the one tail light :hmm: Cruised the For Sale - Car Parts section to see what one including postage (if necessary) would cost? If you can hold off buying bits immediately, shopping around is always a good idea. $80 for the cluster...I'd be grabbing every bracket/screw as well to get my moneys worth. But seems the going rate :( Service manuals are one of the best investments for you & your car! With one of these & some basic tools, you will save yourself the original purchase price of them many times over if/when this break/go wrong. (IMHO)

I think it was 2003, 2004 I had my KE70 :) Had to be quick then as they were just crushing them willy-nilley! :(

WGMG - Doing a rough-in of pipework at a house, leave offcuts of pipe stacked in waste skip. Get a phone call several hours later from the builder requesting that we "come back & remove our rubbish from the site"...... :blinks: Last time I checked, the BUILDER is LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE for all site waste, storage & removal

G'day everyone, I've recently had a conversation with an overseas RollaClub member who is coming to Melbourne soon, like next week soon. :) His username is Zaheer & he is from Pakistan, Corolla love is everywhere! I've taken it upon myself to start this thread as he is also (amongst other things while here) going to be looking for some parts for his KE70 (Ride Thread). Now, me being an AExx guy, xE7x's don't exactly slap me in the face when I'm at wreckers  What I am hoping for is some help from some Melbourne members in regards to wreckers that have xE7x's on a regular basis, as Pick A Part Campbellfield (my usual) can be a bit sporadic with them :( Or if anyone has the particular bits he's after/knows of where to definitely get them, please post here. Maybe this should be in the wanted to buy section...:hmm:...but I just wanted to try & get some Victorian members to help out an Overseas member while he's in town. He's here for a while, so no massive urgency, but if people can lend a hand, it'd be much appreciated! Yes, I have told him I've started this thread, so you'll prob catch him around soon! Cheers in advance! :y:

Handy to know :) Yeah I've gotten the wheel well up to scratch, farting about with other cosmetic fixes while I work out what to do with the roof.
-
That's a fair call! :laff:
-
I'm in Melbourne, so a bit of a hike to get you to tune it. :laff: It's more how far away I am from needing it, seeing as the project's only just gotten primer. I have no aversion to using second hand bits, if things still work generally I'll still use them if noone else does! :P
-
How young do you have to be? Do they have a cutoff age or something?
-
:hmm: Honestly I have no idea yet... Have been through pretty much everything semi-commonly available (specs, prices etc) & can't decide. Still lots of decisions to make in regards to project, but if I decide to go Haltech (or a 2nd hand Wolf 3D ) I know who to come to!
-
I da........
-
I don't know what this feels like (yet) :no2: But I do know what this feels like. Believe it or not that $7.20 can feed you for three days :laff:
-
+1 on nice pickup! :y: Somebody had a happy day :) Sometimes decisions just get made for you (not in the missus-makes them for you way) :P
-
So...no keybangers then? :laff:
-
After: I probably wouldn't either :laff:
-
Score! :D I ordered my coffee this morning, cost $4.50, handed the girl a $5 note, got $4.50 change... :blinks: (yes, I owned up, wouldn't have said anything at Maccas though )
-
Edit: stupid phone double posting :( On topic though, Snot are good listening (rip Lynn), Coal Chamber, Soulfly, Rammstein...basically I'm out of the loop on new bands  If I can't understand the vocals & all I hear is growling/unintelligible screaming, it's not metal, it's a waste of time (IMHO)
-
My personal favourite is Unobtanium, also know as Youknobtanium :P
-
If you've got the brand loyalty and/or the money, by all means stick with Motec. "and a standalone fuel management system...not a bad way to spend ten thousand dollars..." Edit: Just taking the mickey, Motec is good but the prices... :o The MegaSquirt stuff is available on eBay, it is tempting but so are the Haltech's :laff:
-
Good to have you back & glad to see your account issues have been sorted out :) If I'm not in the mood for stripping/priming then I'll do some bog work, just keep kicking things along  The cold weather's an energy killer though.
-
If it's the standard fuel filter I think it has banjo fittings, same as disc brake lines :) I'm pretty sure Bursons can get these, if not I may be confusing them with Repco :blinks:
