  1. Cheers man! :y: It's an honour to have one of the head honchos down this way  :) If you hadnt read the previous couple of pages & couldnt tell anything had happened, I'm happy
  2. Sand back places that needed it. Apply blade putty. Add spray putty for good measure. Go shopping, eat dinner, come back & sand, dust off & wash with w&gr. Primer!! :D Sorry that this is a photo of a photo, but this is the car that probably started it all for me. I was at an Auto Salon in 2002...2003 maybe :hmm: & this stuck out to me from all the Skylines, Lancers, Silvias etc etc. Somebody put in the effort to build it & display it. No idea who's it was or what it was running under the bonnet, I just knew I liked it. Even though it's red! :lolcry:
  3. Your security system is tougher than mine! I would've come over to say hello, but mine's an anti-social bugger :(
  4. Yeah, total strip back's are a pain! :laff: Your ride's looking great man & I agree completely about the crawling around in the mud :y:
  5. Agreed, fantastic to see so many Toyota lovers (& others!) out & about out west! :laff: Was also great to be able to meet some faces behind forum names :) Looking forward to next months!
  6. Everybody loves getting bit's & pieces  It's the little things that count sometimes, 3 AE8x's owned & many wrecker runs completed, but I've never had one of these until now! A BIG thankyou to KEhendo, who saw my random request in the wreckers thread & came to my aid with a spare item he had :y: Sad/angry to hear about the whiskey bottle man, f-ing assholes like that can usually only afford VB :( Although I didnt actually make the 2011 GOR, damn last minute bail-out due to chaos with project car, I had paid up a deposit so I still got one of these :D I occasionally wear the 2010 shirt to trade school, I had one guy ask me how long it took us to run the GOR... :blinks: Uhh dude, we drove cars, Corollas even! :lolcry: Thankyou's go to dfunkt for holding on to it for me! Going to get a custom sticker made that reads 'I missed out on' to go in front of the 'Great Ocean Road Run 2011' sticker in the goodies bag
  7. I see your dilemma...I like Plan B but it's more dollars, 60rwkw seems achievable NA & you car would be plenty fast  Good luck with whichever direction you take! :y: P.S Great work so far
  8. Just out of curiosity, what would a 5K bottom end give you in terms of output increase (roughly) over your current setup?
  9. Eat Pennywise while listening to Meatloaf? :blinks:
  10. So I decided I wasnt happy with the section that needed some lovin'...mind you this was just as I was just about to dust off/wash down for primer  Talk about your moments! So I bogged it :) After sanding for a bit, I bogged it again :D Then bogged some more after the bit near it gave me the $h1ts :lolcry: All dusted, washed with w&gr & ready for primer. First coat of primer. Fully primed. So after this, it will be a quick sand, a shot of spray putty or some blade putty to fill some scratches/pinholes, sand that back then a final coat of primer to seal it all. Then I can move on!
  11. I love having parts & upgrades, I no like having no space to store them :(

  12. :laff: Yeah, admittedly it's basic/crude in comparison to modern-day systems (i.e some BMW's have deleted the engine oil dipstick & rely on the computer to tell you when it's at the correct level :blinks: I thought telling you when it needs a service & what it needs doing was nuts) but it has saved me a few headaches & lots of running around with a muiltimeter :y:
  13. That sucks HARD! :( Quote from a woman: "Whatever part of you touches me, I will break off!" By all means apply this rule to your car & the assholes responsible  Or make them eat it...(the glass)
  14. I think I'm gonna be.....:yak: Not so long ago:
  15. 4AGE/4AGZE's have a built in diagnostic system, which should be able to point you in the right direction of the problem  Click here for info :)
  16. Yay for shopping! Whitewalls will look the goods :y: I needs me a new shed too :( My little one's 3/4 full, I have to clear my things from a mate's shed as he's re-doing the inside, there's no room where my car is & my parentals will kill me if I add more as I've already taken over their garage & one of their sheds  Space to work on the ride for the win :P I'm semi-familiar with Mumbleweed, not so with the Rising Sunday? All-Japan Day on a Sunday? :)
  17. :poke: Any little bits done? :)
  18. Hope you realise you're making dinner   Selling AExx... :(
  19. Pretty sure Autobarn's can do this, I'm not sure exactly how much it costs but expect around $30 a can :hmm: There's also a company called "Paint Centre", I think they have a few stores around Melbourne. The one closest to me can do it, again, unsure on cost but probably cheaper than Autobarn :)
  20. Pink Floyd makes me sleepy :D Kickstart my heart - Motley Crue (just made the 80's  ) :rocknroll:  :rocknroll: WMMH - People who just call you completely at random to say "hey, I've found something F-ing awesome/something you've been after for a while for a really good price. Want me to pick it up for you?" :) They're not out to make a quick buck, they're not offloading dodgy $h1t, they just thought of you when cruising around parts places :D

    Ke70!

Clean & straight, I like it! :y: Carpet's overrated anyway
  22. I have, I used 9kg to just remove 12kg of sound deadener from my AE82. That was done on a 35+ degree day, cooler weather it'll obviously last longer. Hopefully that gives you a rough idea :) P.S - Gloves & long sleeves, freeze-burns hurt
  23. *WHAM* That's my jaw hitting the floor...insanely mental ride man, but ouch!
  24. I've already played with that  Tried my best to flex the metal in the bottom of the wheel well, not enough with 75-odd kilograms on it to crack the bog :y: If I were to strike it with a large blunt object it probably would, but I don't plan on striking my car with large, blunt objects :lolcry: Am I going to polish the paint job on the interior? Possibly :hmm:
  25. DOOM  Had so much potential...yet the best bit is the 3 minute 1st-person sequence :(
