  1. Actually sounds more like the ground wire for the park light on that side is in need of attention..
  2. Power is not really an issue with a V6, Just not sure how good the handling would be with a V6 in the front end. People use them more as a burnout car when they do that conversion..
  3. been done to plenty of rollas before..
  4. ae82 bigport should be close enough, look at the FAQ
  5. yeah, those wires you joined have rubbed through the reverse power feed from what you are describing, look for wires that are exposed..
  6. You have not seen bling yet, Have more stuff getting polished currently..
  7. The motor didn't come with a head, So no pushrods in it.. Also got some goodies back from being polished today..
  8. I think he means the reverse power feed has rubbed through the start signal wire and is actually starting the car when he selects reverse gear. check near where your inhibitor switch for the old auto gearbox was.
  9. winner :)
  10. You don't get a power feed at the dizzy, All you will be able to mesure there are A/C signals that the dizzy is sending to the computer via the 4 wires. same with the wires between the ignitor and the ecu.. My guess is either the pickups inside the dizzy are open circuit or the wiring between the ECU and the dizzy has a break somewhere, could also be between the ignitor and ECU..
  11. He says he has an injector pulse, but no spark, why would you even bother looking at the circuit opening relay? (Quite obviously spark related, Not fuel). The dizzy has 2 purposes, to tell the injectors when to switch and to tell the ignitor when to fire the coil.. Put a test light on the negative side of the coil and see if the ignitor is even triggering the coil..
  12. could be open circuit in the dizzy, could be open circuit anywhere from the dizzy back to the ecu..
  13. spend your money on anything other than a 3k..
  14. AE92 corolla it is in behind the centre console just above the tunnel..
  15. multimeter and some long wires..
  16. continuity between the wires coming from the dizzy to the ecu..
  17. More likely the dizzy signal, its what ground out the ignitor to make it fire..
  18. Basically a process of elimination to find the short, Using a H4 headlight bulb across where the fuse would normally be (extend some wires out) and when the short is gone the light goes out..
  19. Yes there is a way to find them, Where abouts you from?
  20. Doesn't seem like there is enough interest for this to happen tonight...
  21. Is there only 2 people interested? Think we need more than that to make it worth while..
  22. Sounds pretty good to me..
  23. Still keen for this friday night?, BYO food to cook on the BBQ and drinks, I can supply utensils to cook with..
  24. D+ (Dynamo) is where your charge light wire connects to your alternator (All that you need on an internally regulated bosch alternator) helps get the field rotor magnetism going.. Then your B+ charge wire back to the battery..
