My Denso copy reduction starter peaks at about 120A on crank when I checked it at TAFE, So it would be higher than that for a Bosch unit. Depends how much load it cops to spin the motor etc...
And yes, Bigger cables are good, Big voltage drop and lots of cranking is a good way to kill a starter motor.. Don't know how Toyota got away with the size they used on my KE70 from factory..
