Should be on the back of pretty much any alternator, some are metal casing, some are plastic, just goes to D+ on the back of the alternator or the B+ terminal..
Pretty much just a capacitor, Filters the alternator output and smooths out any ripples in the output voltage.. just find another one off a spare alternator..
Don't be afraid to be a tradie, There has been one girl doing auto electrics each block of tafe I have done.. If you want it that badly you will get it..
Make sure you use spring compressors unless you want the strut top to rip through your head and take it clean off..
You will need a rattle gun to undo it..
